Street car = Bolt on
Race car = Pin on

I have seen to many street cars loose a hood because of a stolen pin.

I'd go bolt on for street car, if your worried about the what maybe 10 extra lbs, get a light weight battery or something small like that to make up for it. The bolt on look much cleaner also, i'm not a fan of hood pins. It all comes down to personal preference though.

went with a glasstek 4" cowl thats bolt on. dont like the cowl allthe way to the window or anything also i i like the fact that i dont have to take the hood off all the time. im going to be making more then enough power to compensate for a couple extra pounds.

Bolt-on. Cleaner look, less hassle, and there's other places you can drop that extra couple of pounds.

Bolt on, much easier to deal with for a street car.

I did a pin on so I could cut out the core support. It makes a lot of extra room.

pin-on here, wouldnt go any other way. Makes working on it sooo much better with the extra room and more light! Can see everything.

My pin on is slightly more of a pain in the *** than a bolt on but the extra room is great for wrenching. The hood weighs like 15 lbs so taking it on and off is easy. Hardest part is setting it back on yourself. I stuck some vinyl on the fenders to prevent scratching.

I went with the pin on for price, weight, and cool factor.

I'll tell you this it fits like ****, pain in the *** to put on with the dzus fasteners. And the fact that I have short arms, i always need help taking it on and off.

Recently installed a VFN 3"SS hood on my LT1. Clean look in my opinion and weighs about 23-24#'s.(stock hood 43-44#'s).

Yeah, but pinned fiberglass hoods are still significantly lighter than bolt on fiberglass hoods since they dont have to have any other framework bullshit. My hood can't weigh more than like 8lbs. I can take it off and hold it up with my pinky.
