Nope, nothing much else to my knowledge. The biggest deal is the front suspension travel, so if you didn't care about the weight you could just unhook it from the lower a arms before you ran at the track.

it decouples the front wheels and removes the weight up front allowing better weight transfer.

Would it be accurate to assume that it also makes it easier for your car to torque to one side? IE: Noticably lifting the drivers side tire, but not the passenger side (given a stock rear swaybar and no airbag)?

thats what happens when you decouple the front wheels

Can you get the same effect by just undoing one end, or do both ends need to be loose?

It would not be that hard to unbolt one end at the track as I change tires already.

Thanks.

With my mods below, how much should I expect to gain in the 1/8th by removing the sway bar?

I ran 8.72 @82.4 (temps in the upper 80's) w/ 2.11 60'. I need to cut that 60' a little more. I'm running Nitto 555's..no DR's.

I take it you are traction limited? You should be able to get the 60's down into the low 1.9 range with a stock converter and DR with the swaybar still attached. Its hard to say what you'll gain, but it looks like you have plenty of room for improvement.
