Default BBC into 4th gen hedder options?

I currently run the Hooker 2455 hedders on my BBC, but I am interested to see if any other non-custom hedders would work as well. The Comp series have worked fine, but the primaries are small, so I'd be interested to see what sort of gains a larger (either 2.125" or 2.25") primary would offer.

I have a PA racing K-member with stock mounts and a front motor plate:

I also have clearanced the firewall for additional room on the passenger side:

I agreed, smashing a set of $169 hedders is a whole lot better than $1100 Lemmons!

I did contact Ed Quay, so we'll see what they say.

No one else knows of any bigger tube Hooker or Hedmans that may work?

i think if you put a midplate in the back and did away with the stock mounts you could fit almost anything in there.

Agree, use a mid plate and get rid of the stock mounts. That will clear up a lot of room.

I have pics of our mid plate setup here:
http://www.burkhartchassis.com/steveberger.html

we hang the mid plate and do not get in the way of the collectors.

If your going to do all that, you should just get the headers that lemmons make . I know on their site they say a BMR K Frame w/ mounts can run that header .. Changing to a Midplate does not help there is no other headers close enough to run on the car .. to my knowledge atleast.

after you get your car sorted out just take it to a fabricator and have him make a set...

no matter what header you buy off the shelf you will have to hammer and bend it.... im not interrested in doing that to a 1400$ header.... if i pay that it better fit without any bullshit....

i have the 2455 on mine also until i make sure the wheel stands arent *much of an issue...
