(Not to highjack the thread) If anyone is interested in getting some Strange brakes, give me a call. We're a direct dealer for Strange, and can have most orders drop shipped within a few days.

How long do you think the drag brakes would last on the street before needing pads, rotors?

10,000 miles? 30,000?

you wont get 30, IMO.
i run a vented rotor setup, and a street pad, which is a lil harder. ive got about 3000 miles on this set of pads and prolly 100 passes at the track. they are about half life.
if you run a std rotor and a soft race pad, the heat from the rotor and the soft pad will kill the life.... even moreso on the street.
they are easy to change though, dont even have to unbolt the caliper.
if you are worried about milage, i wouldnt do the brakes. they might not be for you.
good luck.

After 100 lasses at the track with the pads that my aerospace stuff came with they're probably 2/3 to 3/4 left. I make about 100 passes a season, so that means to me that they are probably good for 2 seasons then I will replace.

The pads aren't that expensive, and I haven't priced the rotor's but being that they are just a flat disk that bolts up on the hubs, I'd think they are probably cheaper or at least no more then stock rotors.
