I'd only recommend those if it's a flat out drag car.

if it's a weekend toy that will visit the track, i'd say go w/ spohn.

but that's just through my personal experience

Nice stuff. Unfortunately both of those I have installed we had to cut the DS loop off to get it to fit

what was the driveshaft loop hitting?? I've installed two of them, and didn't have any issues with fitment.

and yes, the torque arm i broke was the earlier design.

If I could do it all over again, and did a little research, I would of bought a spohn one.... it's lighter, the welds don't break, and you can adjust the overal length of the torque arm.... making it as short as possible

I have seen almost all tq arms break all for different reasons. I broke a track pack BMR, and swore never again would I buy parts I could make myself.... My 4130 one hasnt broken yet... I Know of 1 spohn, and 2 bmr's that have broken locally....

i figured if he was going with a th400 and a 12 bolt, he might as well get a bullet proof torque arm to go with. if he wasnt planning the trans and the rear then i would say there is no reason for a torque arm like.

The old umi T/Q arm is the one that snap's and they updated them cuz of the snaping. I know i snaped mine

UMI is a good vendor and they backup there stuff. after i broke mine there was a new one on the car in 3day's.

I would either recommend the BMR Extreme duty or ours. I have tuned alot of suspensions on the 4th gen f-bodies and I wont use any others.

Is the UMI torque arm still the only one that will fit with TSP duals?

We have actually only had a few break out of thousands of torque arms... the ones that did break were a older design from years ago and the issue has been corrected. Also all customers that contacted us regarding there broken torque arms were replaced free of charge with a new design...

UMI Performance on both of my 'birds...one a body mount & one a full-length. No complaints here.

My friend broke the newest design UMI tunnel mount torque arm but they sent him a new one for free.. which was nice of them. Then i saw the one with the cracks on the cross member and that was kinda discouraging. Every time i race my car, im scared that the torque arm will come through the shifter! haha jk
