Default rear springs

Just wanted to know if there is a spring out there that is stock ride height and better for drag than the stockers on a full weight car.
All I ever see is that the stock springs are fine, but is there something out there better?
Thanks all.

Take the spring isolaters off the stock ones to lower the back about 3/4 an inch, just slide a piece of hose over the spring to stop the rattle noises you'll get without them.

That's all 90% of the people on here do that are fast.

I went several low 1.30 60's and an occasional 1.28/.29 with my stock springs. They work fine. Now I have QA1 coil springs with the Wolfe adjuster kit, and outside of being adjustable, they did not do too much for performance

Well thats the thing I dont want to drop it below stock height. Im running stock springs in the rear with the isolators and its still right at 27 inches from ground to top of wheel well.
Thanks for the quick responses!

what's the issue with dropping the back a little bit? I would try it before dismissing it as something that won't work.

well if it will work for hooking up then Ill try anything! I just dont want the car to sit too low. I never liked the slammed look. Right now its sitting right about where it was with the strano springs and asthetiacally its as low as I like.

If you go to a 27 or 28 inch tire the 3/4 of an inch that it will drop it makes it look less raked IMO.

It also helps shift weight to the back of the car which will get the car out of the hole better, and the lower you have the car and can still get it to hook the better. Lower cars don't tend to stand up as much, and have less wind drag as well.

Well I run the stock springs on the back with just a heater hose slid on it. I cut 1.44 to 1.45 NA on 26 inch tires all the time! I even use stock shocks. I agree with JL WS-6 on this one!

pull the spring out, remove the isolator, then replace the spring.

Put the car up on jack stands. One at a time unbolt the shock at the bottom, drop the rear end enough to remove the spring. Take isolater off add 3/4" header hose and jack rear end up and bolt the shock back up and you are done!
I hope this helps!

okay so on another forum i bought a set of the eibach dl springs but apparently there was some shipping issues and im gonna be just getting my money back. i'm having trouble hooking up with the 94 is has stock springs but im pretty sure they have been cut since the car rides really low, (you have to slightly lift up on the body to be able to slide lift arms under it) i have a set of qa1 r series for the front and some summit brand 50/50 for the rear that i will be installing. should i replace these lowered springs while im doing the shocks or will i be okay with these and should get a drag bar to help with the pushing right and massive spinning issues. car details in sig, mt et street radials. if i should get new sprfings which ones? stock? or if i should keep these and do drag bar which one (cheaper is good but not crappy quality, lol)

What is the purpose of removing the stock isolators and adding the heater hose?

lower the back of the car about 3/4 of an inch, shift more weight on the rear tires, get it to sit more level afer putting drag springs on the front that generally make the car sit lower, help offset the added height of a 28 inch slick.

not to complicate matters but would v6 springs work even better than our stock ones on the rear?

You could try, but ideally you want the back of the car as stiff as possible. Lowering the back a touch isn't changing the spring rate, it's just effecting the ride height.

Softer spring would trnsfer more weight, but from my experiences, these cars transfer enough already if you're making enough power.

ok got it. v6 springs may cause some squat issues if you make good power. sounds like i can save myself some money by using my old stock springs in the rear instead of spensing on some strange springs.
