Thats a little to much for me. There is no way in hell I would remove my t-top area for a few extra pounds. Where are you going to store your t-tops? If you ever are driving your car and left them at home, and it starts raining your screwed. How much can you loose from cutting it out? The flooring of our cars it very thin, so it cant possibly weight that much. Plus you will be adding metal back to cover the hole, and welding it in, which is more weight you add. Unless your car is full ***** on race car, dont do this. Their are guys that running a lot faster than 12 second quarter miles who can still store their t-tops.

question: would i still be able to use the stock fuel tank if i cut the ttop tub???

asking because i thought that one side of the fuel tank straps were mounted to the ttop tub

I just had the fuel tank out last week, and im pretty sure that the bottom straps are connected. Not sure how you would go about modifying that. The t-top bag isn't a bad idea though, if you were actually going to cut your area away.

what is the best way to go about removing the ttop trunk area? should i start 'dis-assembly' frm the interior or exterior?

also noticed spot-welds on the interior around the ttop tub

does the ttop tub come out after drilling the spot-welds???

Saw these in the for sale section and thought it was a good idea if your running stock seas/ brackets.. the guy said he removed like 2.5lbs from each seat or something like that..

Not sure how it is done, but i seen this and though someone else might know. Looks like he just cur away most of the inner fender metal after the strut mount.

The front half of the inside inner fender is cut out. Also behind the fender is cut completely flush. the front inner part only weighs a pound or so. It just makes it easy to stand there and work on the car lol
