Question ???cutting metal...???

im removing my inner fender metal, unibody support next to back seats and the airdam bracing below the radiator

besides all of the mounting tabs from removing crap, WHAT OTHER METALS CAN I REMOVE???

searched this and got some ideas. seeing if anyone can come up with stuff that i may not have found

weight reduction sticky didnt list everything metal to be cut

you can cut the bumper support/ fram horns off. 5-8#s a side depending on how much you get off and angle the cuts, or just stairt.

The front of the wheel wells
gut the inner door skins

what unibody support are you talking about? you can cut all your extra brackets and such also (back seat and seat belts etc)

the support i was talking about is the bracing that is spotwelded next to the rear seat in the sail/qtr panel region

yup removing the lower mounts. got one side done. finishing up tmro or the nxt day depending on the weather here

also removing the lower part of the radiator support/airdam bracket. almost finished with that

also removing all misc brackets

even though they unbolt - theres the door bars. sounds like you got a good handle on all of the metal removal though

yup, already have those out. everything i have let to remove either deals with cutting or drilling spot welds haha

drilling everything that is spot welded to the body and patching up the holes. cutting off the frame horns

are you not keeping the factory wiring, wipers and a bolt on hood? I woulda mentioned that stuff, but I assumed you were keeping it.

looks like you got all the other stuff already...

i already finished up the wiring. just pulled wires i didnt need. keeping wipers because this car will have very few trips on the road and keeping the stock ss hood

im welding the holes back up

got all but 2 of mine removed today........drill and a pry bar are your best friends!!!

yup! thats what ive been using. drill and prybar

so far, ive remove the lower rear seat supports, radiator/airdam bracket

nxt the inner fender metal, frame horns and all misc brackets for the heat shields and crossmember brace

keeping the t-top area. not cutting up my floorboard or sail speaker panels

anything else i may have missed??? (as far as extra metal)

i took the passenger side door panel off today to remove the door bars....what is the trick to get them out??

i grinded the bolts from the back side of the bar and used a holesaw to the bottom corner of the doors to slide em out
