New LS Next Pro engine block getting painted with PPG single stage paint. Getting back to the machine shop Friday and assembly starts.
Dart polished CCW crankshaft, Stef’s COPO pan, Tony Mamo 250cc AFR cathedral heads, Tony Mamo Fast 102, Kooks 1 7/8” to 2” headers and Star vacuum pump that mounts in the A/C location are just a few items being used.
Went to machine shop today, short block is together. New rockers came Sunday, upgraded to Crower Adjustable. Next, will be, flowing heads, verifying valve springs and setting up as needed.
Having a hard time finding an Engine Dyno Tuner local. I am in search of one to drive to. In the mean time, currently learning HP Tuners and working on suspension upgrades on the car. More tune ability.
LCA adjustable front fabrication are done, now to work on the front torque arm mount so I can get the adjustments were I want them for baseline. Went from a 46” to 42” torque arm. Back to the Laser to make more parts.
On more thing off the list, coil mount brackets done. Able to use stock LS1 wires, with no issues of wires getting burned from the headers due the coils being reorientated. Brackets are out for paint and should be back early this week.
Finished upgrading the fuel fuel system, 1/2” fuel line, external regulator, 340 pump and electrical upgraded to handle more amps for the larger fuel pump.

Getting ready for Chrome Moly roll bar install. The car has only 13,000 miles and the the roof is gassing badly, (paint bubbling) due to the adhesive used to glue it on in 2002. To make it easier for the roll bar install, the original roof will be removed and a new carbon fibre roof from Midwest Chassis will be installed once roll bar is completed.
