We understand, but we think you do not understand how much you are asking of that block. You made a point that it is "only .045 from each side" but what you are failing to realize is, since it is already at 4.030, if you decide to take it to 4.125, the BLOCK is being stretched an 1/8th of an inch, .125. Not the .090 you think, since the block started at 4.00 So, the block is having .0625 removed from each side, NOT .045. But look, if you think it will work, go ahead, it's your block. We are just trying to help you out. If you are set on that block, and that bore size, you might want to have it sonic tested. My .02. Good luck

and how much would it cost you to put a crank trigger ignition on your 383?
you realize you could have a 408+ inch ls motor and easily make 700hp with off the shelf parts on PUMP GAS right?
i just think its funny how the SBC/BBC guys dont realize the potential of the ls motors...

it only cost me 700 to do a crank trigger and front mount distributor, but if your just gonna bitch about my engine set up dont bother posting on here. yea of course i can make easy power with an ls1 and be like everyone else.maybe i dont want to do what everyone does, and just take the easy way..and im not downing the ls motor at all they can make a lot of power but you can make more power with a sbc/bbc n/a anyday. ls1 eventually cap off. so dont say were downing ls motors.

so today i got the halo in the front runner and drivers side door bar,ill get pics later on, i got the s&w cage kit and the halo seems a little small im kind of pissed bout it, i barely cut anything off the back to notch and it only goes out to about an inch or so in front of where the t top ends up front, i might have to make a new halo now.
