I bought mine from a Honda motorcycle shop. It was around $140 for one of the cheaper ones with a fancy tinted reflective screen and fancy tribal paint job. You can get plain ones for a lot cheaper.

It has to be Snell rated. I can't remember exactly, but I think the Snell rating is valid for 12 years.

My helmet is M2005. But a SA2000 or M2000 should be good for a few more years.

You need a helmet thats SA2005 approved to race at an NHRA sanctioned track.

Or SA2000, M2000, and M2005 approved, like stated in the second post...

As mentioned, helmet need a Snell 2000 or better rating to be legal at an NHRA track. I use a full face helmet (which is required once you run faster than 10.00) and found it helps in noise and my focus. There are a ton of options, I got mine from Helmet City.

I've heard that some track won't let you run a car with a motocycle (M Rated) helmet, that's why I just spent the little extra and went SA rating, it sucks to get there and then get booted.
