Ah yes I see that now in the first pic, didn't catch that at first I was too busy trying to invision the hood on a car.

VFN, what's the weight of the hood, what would the weight of the hood be if it was made from carbon, and what's the price on that?

(trying to see what the weight differnce would be and if it would be cost effective to take that step or just stick with the fiberglass)

That is the ticket though, you got it right with that, the slope is perfect, 100% better then the older design, as long as it fits good you have a winner.

I'll take one

Hi Guys.
We'll have a few shots on a car before releasing it for sale/starting the gp. Phantomzero has been awesome enough to bring his car up next weekend for a test fitting and we'll take some good shots then and get them posted.

Ok..on to the questions...

01z...sorry but the only teaser we have right now for the bolt on guys is a version of this particular hood made as a bolt on. We have another design in the works as well, but not giving anything out until the version is almost complete - sorry!

JL-WS6 - the weight will probably be comparable to our 5" extended...which will range between 15-18lbs.
I'm not sure if we will be offering this in a carbon fiber at this point...once it's complete I can surely find this out for you

Please let me know if there will be a carbon version available, and the weight difference.

16 to 18 lbs must be a good 30+ lighter then a stock ws6 hood, and the mounting system for a pin on vs the factory hood supports and all that has got to be the same or lighter I would think.

Agreed, I have done the same(emailing about this exact hood with VFN). Nice to see their response to customer demand. I am sure that we are not a large market, making them go out of their way to cater to a select few, but i certainly appreciate it!

As PMB said, I am all in for a GP.

Thanks VFN

Looks great Jeannie.

Stock WS6 hoods are close to 50 lbs, I think mine weighed 47 lbs.

You should just swap to an LS1 front end, and then put this hood on that. You'll win twice.
