I sat in the car yesterday with the hood on, and even my short self (5'4") could see around the scoop without any issues or books to sit on lol.

We will offer a gp on this and our other parts starting next week

Looks pretty good. Was that hood trimmed @ the glass or is that how it will be? Only reason I ask, is I would like to fit it to the windshield a little tighter at the edges then that one is, but if that's how it comes I can work with it as well.

Shoot me a PM when the GP gets going, and I'll do what I have to so I can get in on it.

JL - we did trim it up at the back by the windshield and we will leave these a little oversized so that the customer can adjust it according to what works for them
The gap is only there because the hood is not pinned into place...once pins are added it would butt up nicely against the windshield and that gap will disappear.

That visability is gonna be fine, the hood that they make for the camaro's, the mike moran hood you put that thing on a car and forget about it 1/2 the windshield is covered.

That thing is bad for visability LOL, this looks very good IMO.

I think it flows with the car very well, and will definately get on the GP for this. This should help get another 30+ lbs off my car. 3000 raceweight here I come

I'll have too see some more pics I guess. I like the way it looks though for sure. I'll need a bolt on though not a pin on.

A couple of us asked for underside pictures and some dimensions on clearance. I just hacked the **** out of my WS9 hood to clearance a Victor Jr and Aarons elbow. If this new hood will work it will save me alot of glass work to save the old hood

Koolrayz - if you could please send me a measurement from the back of the hood (by the windshield) to where you need the clearance along with the height you require in that area...I can match our hood up for you and tell you the height in that area.

We can have some underside pics available within the next day or so.

Got an answer on the lt1's - we will work on a hood for these cars, but we do have a few projects for the ls1 firebirds that need to be completed first...

The clearance in the center of the hood, right in the center of the motor (where the carb would be) is important to me as well. I am planning on cutting the whole cowl off and boxing that back in, and will have a tall intake with a TB sitting on top of it when I'm finished, probably with a spacer under the TB as well. I know the sunoco hood has just enough clearance for what I want to do (the sunoco hood that you sell for camaro's) as long as we have at least that much room, it should be good.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I like the 4" Ram Air you make for LT1's, but I cant stand the extended version because of that ugly bulge in front of the openings. If you made an extended version without the bulge (like the bolt-on), AND with the parts to fill in the wiper area, I'd buy one immediately.

I fell the same way, but want it to use the same scopes in the hood as factor and slope up from their.

I can't wait to see what you guy's come up with, because if it's fits the lines on the LT cars like the new hood does to the LS cars it's going to be bad a$$.....

Hi Guys....

JL - The scoop is based on the Sunoco style...so it is actually a little wider then the scoop on the Camaros...so it should allow ample enough room for clearance for most customers
If you need height at a certain area, I can measure it out for you...just give me a pm...but unfortunately we do not have a dimensional sheet/diagram on this hood available.

LS1crazy01 - Unfortunately on this design, it will eliminate your wipers and cowl panel. We do have plans in the very near future to make a pin on and bolt on version that you can use with your wipers and cowl panel.

A98WS6 - the bolt on version will be done soon...but unfortunately I do not have a date available on completion at this time. We have some projects going in the shop along with these hoods and we are trying to complete everything in the shortest time possible...but I don't want to put a date on it at this point...

Fire67 - we may consider just removing that bulge...I'll check with the guys on that.

Jeanie~
