Cam only, winter upgrades. Bitch in on a diet

we are going with a super vic, plate, and 4150tb soon as well. But will also be changing the cam and prolly port a set of our own 243's change valves and port the super vic. Should rip when we get done with.
good luck. Id like to see some results.

carb style 4150 should be the better setup. If I get a elbow Ill put my 92mm on it.
odering the rails 3638 soon
TB was gona get a acuffab, But looking at FAST 307603, I get for a good price, comes with sencors and flows more (1,350). Its also maybe taller then the acufab TB, but not really tall like some of the other 4150 TB. The fast thottal arm looks to stick up over the inlet height, and might get in the way, of making a "big gulp" airpan setup. that I think would make the most power.
Planning on running a carb hat with a maf for inspection tune.
just looking at stock 241s again and they get down to .950 at the PP. inlet is about 1.010. Bigger then the SV but the csa takes a dump there with the inj. relive right there.
I have a set of stock valve 243s Im porting too. They move 313cfm 3.9 plate un cut. But Im thinking of running e85 with them, and some compression. There is 3 good e85 pumps right near me. Not sure how to get to 13-13.5:1 on a stock motor with 243s.

well a 52 cc .040 will get you around 13:1...not sure what the PTVC would be...that is using a .120 flycut on both intake and exhaust
that fast TB looks sexy...would love to see the big gulp when it is done...

you are gonna have some long hours into that baby, but it will all be worth it when your finished. I cant wait to get my swap moving along, it will be fun to make that big of change and hopefully get some good results.

That looks like it's gonna take a long *** time.... jesus I better hurry up anget one of those things, probably gonna take me all summer to port it with the free time I have.
Oh **** I need to get the compressor in the garage first so I can get an air tool to do it with, and that requires the electricity to be run out there first
Damn it

Lol. I probably had 30 hours into my vic jr when it was all said and done. After I got the shape the way I wanted with a dremel and flexdrive, I went in and finished it with a 3 step sanding process. All the runners are smoothed and everything. If I had to do it again, I would pay someone to do it. That thing kicked my ***
#208
I'm curious.. anyone ever have one flowed after you did the porting, to make sure that the runners are all even?
That's my biggest concern with doing this... is that one of the runners is gonna be alot better or worse then the others and that could screw it up.

well you should look at how it is, as cast. Look at that one over head pic agian and look were things to the "sqare bore" shape.
I may have done my math wrong and did raids. over di. for the corner area. But it has a 2.90/2.915 msa (@outlet), but the inlet sa had some big diffrencse. I may not have recorded best sizes when the full pluem wings were in there still and it was tight. I was thinking maybe they cast it for fixing the runner lenghts bernoulli style to get the tapers for it. I'll check the steady state numbers on a head tho.

carbide burr. 3/8 SE- aluma cut.
that just hogging out the top and blending it quick. I was thinking Id need to Bport out but I can do it by hand, so finish kocking it all back alot more later when I have time to work on it.
I took some pic a min ago in macro mode, to see how good it really fits.Of this on a mockup block.Gm MLS and bard 241s bolted on. no intake gaskets. The batties died, I'll se how they look tomarrow

Thanks for the pics.
thats a GMPP intake, and accufab TB right? 1inch spacer/N20 plate, you know how tall that put the top if the TB off the block/valley cover? That pan looks good, do you have to run the TB arm that long? I was looking at a pic of the fast TB and looks like muti holes in the arm that I could shorten. Or maybe flip the arm over or rotate it so it pulls form the bottem or somthing? You just going to weld a little hump for the way it in now, gotten any more done on it? What hood do you have, any plans for the airfilter?

You can see how tall this thing is
In this pic, strait edge on the carb flange is about 6.8 to the top of the block
(no intake gasket, GM MSL HG, uncut 241)
This is centerd over the intake bolts, the intake is dilled with some large holes so it dose have some movment front to back. Notice its front and rear runners, can't really se the inside alinement. I'm gona use the boreshope later.

looks good, Have you looked into running a lower pan with that hood still with the round filter over it. Some big foam going to the hood on the front under the scoop and dose the sides might be a great setup.
#220
Yeah that was my plan with this filter this just looks better. I have the foam to seal it with. I will try it both ways at the track to see if it is worth having that ugly *** pan on there.
