Well I'm glad i read this thread, I was about to grind and weld my brand new k member to get a manual rack to mount to it. Looks like i'll be getting their bolt in kit, its a race car so street driving is not even a worry to me. Great launch pic! Not too shabby for a 6 speed on DR's!

thanks ya went a 10.72

I'm still not happy with how the rack is setup for it getting toe out with the front end up. But I hope to get that fixed better.

I posted about the spindles but I deleted it, some how.

here my stock 16 hitting the top of them. I think a 17x7 might fit?

The rotors scrape the bridge bolt sleeve the holds the pads in. And it would spin when I was mocking this up. I re tightened the caliper and dog bone pulling them out, on the clearance hole as much as they can. And the slight surface rust on the end of the rotor was still hitting the rotors. I ddint wnat to have to turn down the sleeve in the middle so just left it, and let the rotor do it. I had to get the car done.
Its close was close, but had room on the racecraft spindles so I think these have the bracket closer inward. They come with a .250 alum spacer that you need to run, and they setup only useing one .025 shim from the brake kit to center the caliper which is about perfect. But The braket on one of the calipers must not have been welded on 90* off the spindle shaft, It wanted 2 shims on the bottom bolt to get the caliper centered better. The cup for the upper and lower balljoint castle nut is really nice, the box end wrench fit good. The lower mount is a little narrow, the dust boot on the lower balljoint kinda gets cuped abound the bottem pad of the spindle. It seals still and holds the greese in, but they you turn the dust boot flexes alot to form around the bottom of the spindle. It might get beat up and rip sooner but its not a big deal. The narrow base keeps them lighter. I likt rhe brake moutsn are lighter too, the dog bone is just 1/4 alum, so you dont need any super thick tabs.

Got the valve job done on my heads for All motor calls at world cup next weekend, Used junk take offs set, stock valves, cleaned them in my sink quick nothing fancy.
Hoping to tomorrow pull my 241s off, and get the springs off. The NMRA mustangs have gona 9's, that fit the class. And I hear some NA hondas might go 9's or 10.0s.

So what are your true feelings about the Burkhart Rack? My car is pretty low and if your thinking twice about it scrapping it scares me cause your car looks high to me. Does everyones manual rack bolt in set-ups for a 4th gen bend down like that or is just theres?

WCN was this weeekend. tech there fri and tech in. you have to do that. Lots of fast cars. lots of break downs, the field weeds its self out fast. 1 qualifier I was the 1st headsup car down the track, dumped the clutch a little to fast knocked the tires bad never recoded in 1st gear went 11.3 or some junk. I think the honda broke an axle at the line.
2nd hit changed some things back, shock wise, mellowed it out just to get the car down the track. Only have 4 passes on Drs still so still figuring it out. After watched 1/2 the cars break is seams like. Went to start the car and thought it was cranking slow but it was running? went to rev it and just popping? I changed the 2step but set it wrong, With the 1000, and 100 switched, So it was set at 600 rpm, that fouled the plugs fast. Didn't have my spare set gaped, and couldn't find them. So just cleaned them with brake clean, and went the lanes. Honda broke in the burnout box, got a by run. Did some shitty burnout dry the car pushed, tried it agian same thing. Slipped the clutch better, little wheelie. Dont think it bounced bad, went a 1.46 I think. but a 10.65 129. Not 13x like I was hoping, but was not that great pass. I htink my budyy got a vid, I'll see what I have later. Nyce1's took some and his stuff if really good.

Put new plugs in and it was cold as hell out lots of cleanups. left at 8pm after the said there were flipping the heads up classes for 3rd qul. so A/M would be last. At the rate the event was going it was be like 2am. Then ended up not getting 3rd round even in, it got to late. Got 2 passes in for being at the track all day and night.

Got in the show qualified #12 in all motor. 10.65 on 275DR wasnt that bad

super busy worked out of town all week right after getting home form WCF. Not I can look for pics and vids, and I'll get this updated with how the car got setup, for adding weight, and the 25 little last minute things that are still not they way I want then. haha

This event was a blast, there is a reason its so Bbg and growing. Its not perfect but A lot more fun then anything else I've been too. You guys need to make it. Heads up classes the way the LSX shootout should be.
