thanks,

someone sent the Proflo to the shop and I'll test it. Not sure if my edlebrock rails for my SV will fit it, I see "pro-flo" rails on others setups. Id need them too.

Are you going to ditch that lid? Maybe try to tilt it up in the back so you don't have some funky angled piece of tubing connecting the lid to the tb? Can you raise the back section of the lid or is the hood too close?

Why not just run some piping down out to the front of the bumper with a velocity stack at the end of it and loose the lid? someone on here said they picked up 4mph running it like that on another cam only setup.

I dont like having a track and street setup, and I dont own a trailor. Its 100% drive to track, set shocks, 2step, tire pressure gp the the lanes, simple. The only "tools
" I need, keep right in the car. Dzeus tool, 3/8 socket on a 1/4 screwdriver handle thing for the shocks. And a tire gauge, I want to weld the Dzus on the back of the 3/;8 scoket so I can flip it around on the handle to do both. I like having a filter, and maf tune. Mike said he want to do a SD tune, so I'll see how that is. Its its really 4mph that would be great. But I dont think Ill see that over the sealed SUX2BU. Thats 2mph going 110-112ish over the non ducted cut lower airbox, I bet more not I'm going 127-130.
As of right now think I can make a taller lid on the metal brake at newera, there alot of scrap stuff for the GTO/G8/TBSS/CTSV/Cam5/.. other cars setups.
I'll see how hard it gona be to get the lower flange made so the lid clips still work on it and the stock sized filter. After thats done its easy, might blend the box all back to a 4inch tube section. Or make it a box, and just put a velocity funnel inlet of the tube to the TB, I think that works better NA

Yeah ive played with civics for a long time all the civics ive owned were SD from factory and theres really nothing i can find as an excuse NOT to go SD. SD is a bitch if your tuner doesn't know how to tune it. Friends/tuner LS6 rx7 is SD he never had any complaints about it.

I'm unsure of the whole sd thing. When I put the ls7 in my car I'm probably gonna need a 100mm maf though.

Dump the maf completely and you'll be alot happier. Just an expense, something to go wrong, and will not aid in making any more power. ONLY thing that it will do is adjust for the weather a little better... iat can still help it adjust some, but not quite as well. Might need a summer/winter tune, that would be the only downfall, of ditching the maf. And even that isn't a guarintee. Only cars I have seen that actually need it are ones that are really running close to the edge and want to try to keep it safe when the good fall air comes along, or try to pick it back up when the summer heat is in effect.

Every SD tuned car I've ever seen runs like **** when it starts to get below 55 degrees (different makes, models and tuners). It gets pretty cold here in the fall I don't think it's the wisest option.

Like i said that depends on the tuner, alot of tuners dont give a **** about part throttle tuning or drivability tuning, they just do a **** load of WOT pulls get the power and take the car off the dyno, and your stuck with shitty drivability. It all depends on the tuner, if SD was so shitty i doubt car companies would use it on there cars.

agreed!!!

98mm lid is equivalent to 84mm bellmouth flared tube...

ditch the maf and lid for whats in this picture...i will put money on a 8rwhp+ gain at least with a 4"tube and flare with 102mm tb...

Got a new best on street every day driving mode, 2OTL, radials front and rear. driving to the track and back, and all over. 10.89 @ 128 crappy 1.6 60" still.

noticed my catch can has a lot of clean oil in it. (1/2 qt?) And I was keeping the oil level at "FULL" LOWXXXXFULL or a little over the XXXXX, like the imporved racing says for their oil pan baffle. But noticed it dose stay up there? So I found out were is going -> into the catch can?
Anyone else have that happen

No, its healthy. But just dont like to be over full?

there no combustion smell, its really clean oil. I have maybe 700-1K miles on it this year. Drained it all out and did have any milkshake, or water in it at all (a little went on the floor wasn't expexting it to star dumping out this much oil, had a rag under it at 1st)
