i always get aggrivated at you KP for making these cars sound like they come together like eating cake... the more i talked to you in the past years the more info i found out about your history with cars... you are by no means a beginner or a even "10 year veteran" at building cars... you have many more years than most people on this site, which is great! But thrown together for you is a bit more time consuming for me/us who are not as experienced as you.
i just hate it when real "newbies" come in and read your threads and get a hard-on thinking they can put together cars like yours in a matter of a few days and expect the same results... then they post and whine and wonder what happened.
i on the other hand love seeing your builds and what you come up with.... its never the big stuff thats hard to do...its the little stuff that no one sees thats sooo time consuming and frustrating...
anyways... that was just for the newbs that read your threads.... not at all intended to be disrespectful to you KP.... just hoping to crush a few dreams of the new comers... lol

If you look at the number of 11-10 second LS cars on thi site built by some younger guys I dont feel I have anything on them. I lack a lot of enthusiasm that some younger guys have and thats a disadvantage for me actually.
But yea the little things like tuning, wiring, mounting little things, plumbing, brake lines etc can be a pain, but certainly not impossible for anyone. Main thing is to have the right tools and measure twice and cut/drill once

Amazingly it is up here right by me, hahaha. One of the local chassis shop owners, and the guy who sponsors the turbo section on Yellowbullet.com bought it, hahaha. I'll be seeing alot of it if he gets it finished for the local True Street Racing organization.

If I could find a nice car like that for the money I would have bought it too lol. As usual I bought this one thinking I could use a lot of the parts on it but in the end it would have been cheaper buying a stock 100K mile car and doing the same thing. I'm sure he will redo some things on that car as well.
When you buy someone else's car you always have that 'you didnt build it' thing above your head. But like I said, its his, he paid for it and I really dont care even if he said he built it himself..

Its done and running, just waiting for the rain to stop
Turned out pretty nice, its easy to work on, not the lightest car on earth (3390 with me in it right now) but I have heavy carpet, rear bumper support, door bars, all the stock wiring etc so i could probably get 100lbs out of it if I really wanted to but it will already be too fast for a 6pt bar so I'll leave it. If I do a 8.50 cage I'll be able to lighten it up to make up for the extra bars.
Some pics of it all together..

thought I'd post up the results of the first time out, track wasnt working too well but still managed a 6.29 @ 111.5 with a 1.440 60 foot. Not bad for the first time out, shooting for 6 teens/9.50-9.60s on a mild tuneup and its pretty close already:
