rear drag v6 springs what is the height diff then a v8
Got a pair of v6 springs and took my v8 springs out my v8 are shorter then the v6 ones. Did they send me v8 springs??

You do not want a softer spring in the back, you are better off with the V8 or stiffer springs. Otherwise you will unload the rear tires and cause it to squat more and not hook well.

well the v-6 spring is the easier way to go. and are not much shorter than the v-8 springs. it will probably drop the car around 1/2 an inch in the rear. I have a set of 2000 z28 springs and have replaced them with v-6 springs out of a 95 camaro. but every car reacts different at the track. the v-6 springs work great in my car though.

I don't agree with that statement, the softer spring compresses and extends easier than the v8 spring and you want the extension. You need to control that movement better but you'll work better.

I think on less than ideal track prep the V6 springs would work better. On perfect prep the stiffer spring would be the way to go. It would allow you to drive the tires better and spend more time going down the track instead of going up. That's my take on the situation.
