tire pressure for MT ET 26x11.5
Can someone advise what would be a good tire pressure to use at the track with a MT ET St 26x11.5 tire ? The rim is a 16x8 salad shooter style wheel .

I like the QTP's a little better but I also run those the same.

I went 1.57 on the same tires without drag shocks a few years ago.
Pretty much what Rich said, I'm conservative on tire psi, so even with my 28x10.5x15 slicks I would run them at 15psi cold which was 17 psi hot. But some folks go even lower I did not like how the car wobbled at 12-13 psi.

well i will say that unless you are an automatic car with a bigger convertor or at an outstanding track, the stuff above doesnt apply to many folks. from teh many MN6 cars i have seen, most dont hook above 15 psi and still struggle to get to mid 1.6s. now autos, yea exactly what they say above (and they are auto cars). i will agree that under 15 psi and it gets worse as it gets looser and looser on the top end. i had a 6 speed car and ran 12 psi and didnt like it on teh top end at all. i cut mid to high 1.6 pretty consistently.

I run 23-25 psi. Many 1.5 60' times.
You do have to set your suspension up right to run that much air however. I used to break loose with 20 psi until I went with my 1" rear anti-sway bar. They stick like glue now.
