i really dont know hp wise how they compare, i really doubt they could be that different. It was loud, but not OVERLY loud. dumped at the headers its pretty bad inside the car, but at the Y it really wasnt bad and i actually had a few people say they liked it a lot.

it will be louder of course and weigh lighter than a dual system but NO power gains will be achieved by just a bullet and dump after the y pipe

I was talking more about sound. The spiral flow is a straight through baffled design whereas the bullet is a perforated tube. One should have a substantial sound difference over the other. They are basically two different types of mufflers no?

Yea thats what I was wondering as well. If the spiral flows are a little quieter than the dynomax bullets I might switch to them.

loud? when you want it to be, drown? NONE!, raspy? 100% none! It all depends on what muffler you get. I have magnaflow 3" bullet and i lover it. I did have it hooked up and ran all the way out the back with the slp loudmouth and it had a ton of drown and a little rasp. So i cut that crap off and put a turn down on it and it is a lot quieter cruising down the road and 100% rasp. It loud when you want it to! Everyone that had driven in my car is amazed how quiet it is when were on the hwy

I ran a dynomax superflow into a 3 inch dump. Sounded very good. Got nothing but compliments on it even from ls owners who's were built much more than mine was.

Only downside was I gave up about 5lbs of torque. But gained about 8 on hp on the dyno with the addition of a lid as well.

Ended up at 377rwhp and 369ft-lbs

So here are the three options:

1. Dynomax bullet PN# 24238
Internal is a perforated tube
Bullet link

2. Moroso spiral flow PN# 94051
Internal is straight through baffled
Spiral flow link

3. Magnaflow round muffler PN# 14419
Internal is perforated tube with packing
Magnaflow link

So we clearly have three different style mufflers. The bullet seems to be the loudest of the three, and the magnaflow is the quietest because of the packing. Flow should be about the same between the three. Thoughts???

Sounds real nice. So that is the dynomax bullet? I would be getting a 3" one. Do you think that the difference in diameter will have an effect on the loudness of it?

Thanks. Yes that is the Dynomax bullet 4". I have no idea if it would change the sound. My flowmaster merge was dual 3" in and single 4" out so that why I put on the 4". But if I had to guess I would so not too much on the sound. Like LS1 SPEED said, no drone or rasp but it is loud. It is awsome @full throttle too.
