Car looks great launching and the drag bar is doing it's job well....

Sounds like you had a great time regardless of the issues with the shifter.

Oh yeah man it was pretty fun. I was a little dissappointed at first, but once you look at the stuff you did you kinda realize how much fun it really was I'm really glad we made the trip.

Hoping we have the money by October to go down to Houston and maybe run some 9's by then . These videos a just a bit clearer.

Did you enter the burnout contest too? Nice one getting them hot for the wheelie contest.

Well the guy in front of me did a little burnout and didn't even pulls the wheels, so I figured I'd at least do a decent burnout incase it decided to not pull the wheels that way I wouldn't just get flat out boo'd off the track

Yeah, that first vid you posted kinda made me a little dizzy trying to keep focused lol....

Pulling the front off the ground is cool as hell so get me wrong, but you'll go quicker keeping it on the ground. Did you try to tighten up the front shocks a bit to slow the front end rise? I'm guessing though, because it was a "Pinks" event, you probably didn't have much track time to tune the suspension/chassis?

Yeah he's not much of a camera guy lol...

Well the very first pass I made the wheels came up maybe an inch or two and I had a 1.41 60ft. Well I decided to try to flash the converter just a bit so I lowered the two step from 4500 to 4000 and it sure woke the car up. Went from the 1.41 to a 1.32 then once the track started heating up it went to a consisten 1.36-1.37 60ft.

We only made two passes per day so we didn't get to play with the suspension at all, especially messing with that damn electric solenoid that was being a pain in the ***. It did leave very straight and came down nice and smooth so I wasn't too worried about it. It's never pulled the wheels like that but it usually only comes up about 8inches or so. It probably won't even come up that high on the footbrake, but this is an enitrely different setup so I really have no idea how it's going to act.

That steering wheel plate is interesting. I haven't seen one rigged up like that before. I may be stealing an idea for my 93 as a temporary solution.

It's been working great and I really like the location of the linelock and T-brake especially for top bulb racing. I was going to eventually change it, but I think I may just keep that extra money .

Well I went ahead and tried for the 9's again with the 150 shot and the bottle just didn't have enough left in it to make it happen .

Got the pressure up to right at 900 (All I could get it up to), left out of the hole pretty good and it just slowly kept slowing down and then right after the 1/8th mile it fell on its face getting no nitrous and lots of extra fuel.

Ran a damn 10.06 AGAIN, but this time I have a slip. Son of a B(*&^%$^&)

Got it off the limiter though

Yeah, just fill up the bottle this time. Seems like a pretty simple fix.

Here's some results from the past weekend. The only changes was that we cut the windshield cowling out, I didn't have a hood, and I went from the SLP Lid to a FTP 104mm lid.

Last weekend out I ran a 7.011 @ 101.67 with a DA of 1,071.

This weekend I ran a 6.997 @ 100.07 with a DA of 2,526.

Here's the corrected numbers:

5-8-10:
Uncorrected- 7.011 @101.67
Corrected- 6.983 @ 102.21

5-22-10:
Uncorrected- 6.997 @100.07
Corrected- 6.85 @ 102.25

Looks like I picked up some from something I did . Should have been my damn 9 second pass if I would have brought the nitrous .

Thanks man! Lots of headaches, a broken finger, sweat, and more in this build. I'm ready for some more CI's this winter

Dang Cousin, Are you ever going to be happy?
I am happy with my 12.0 on Nitto D/R's. But i bought some ET Streets last weeks and hop to dip down to the 11.80's. Hope to finally see that beast of yours run down the track in person. I am getting my car retuned tomorrow. I had a O2 sensor not showing up when they tuned it, so he turned it off. Now that i got it working and he turned it back on, now it smells like it is dumping fuel from the tail pipes.
I hope it does better than the last pull on the Dyno. It feels like it pulls harder now than it did with one O2 sensor turned off. I will find out tomorrow i guess.

Time to upgrade some of the fuel system. I just bought a 5 gallon fuel cell, Walbro 255 (for now), and all the other things to get this up and working.

I'm tired of not knowing how much fuel I'm using in between passes and being inconsistent.

So here's my plan.

I'm mounting the fuel cell in pretty much stock location since I've already cut out the area for the quick fuel pump change. This way I DON'T have to run a bulkhead. It was $94 or $97 from Summit

I'm running -6 line to the Walbro and running -4 back as the return with a -6 vent.

After the pump I'm running it into a 2003 Corvette filter which has the built in regulator and coming OUT of the Filter/Regulator it's going back into a STOCK 99' F Body filter so that I can run my stock lines all the way to the intake.

Should be good to go for the Heads Up EFI race this weekend

Back for some more updates.

We just got back from a three day labor day race and it was a pretty long weekend. Anyway, Friday night was a free race and I went out third round getting beat by .002.

I have been pretty disappointed in how the car has been running this summer to be honest (7.10-7.26) all motor. Because the car USED to run 6.95-7.05 all motor.

Well, I guess this has just been a really shitty summer to say the least around here. Because this weekend the car went right back to running low 6.90's on motor. I was having to spray a 25-35 shot to run in the 7.0 class and that has been really annoying.

To say the least the converter I have IS NOT what my car needs for all motor. I'm getting 1.57 60fts 4.48 330's and it's running 6.95-7.02.

The shift extensions are crazy and it doesn't flash hardly at all. I'm shifting at 6800-7000 and the converter is falling all the way back to 5400.

Now back to my weekend

Saturday I ran anywhere from 6.94 in the cool night to a 7.02 in the heat of the day. I got down to 7 cars having a slow .558 light. I run super pro so yes a .558 is pretty bad

Sunday I also got down to seven cars again except this time I got beat by a black Vega GT. The car was running a 7.02 all day and then all the sudden picked up to a 6.99. I threw a 6.98 on the car since the weather was getting cooler. Well I don't know if that was a fluke deal or what, but when I made my final pass the car went right back to a 7.02 despite the fact that the weather was better and the car didn't spin or anything.

I had fun anyway and it was a good time! Also the car is running 6.90's all motor again

I think the car can run in the 6.60 range all motor with a better converter and about a low 1.4 or very high 1.3 60' in the nice cooler weather.

Here's some pictures from this past weekend though.
