Default LNC-002 launch controller problems

Finally got of my butt to install this thing. I've had it over 6 months now. Reading the instructions this thing looks very simple to do. But i'm having problems. I have it wired to the clutch pedal with the line lock. The line lock works correctly all the time. At first the car didn't idle after hooking up the big weather packs. Then the car wouldn't rev past whatever the setting i had on the unit when the clutch wasn't pushed in. Now after going over everything a 100th time the car just starts and cuts off seconds afterwards. So I unplugged everything that had to do with the controller and put stuff back the way it was and same thing, car starts then dies. Whats going on? Everything was fine with car before messing with this thing. Any ideas?

Nope. Instructions state just make sure the ignition is off. Normally I would have but I just followed there directions. Sure hope that didn't cause an issue.

I would give Ryan @ Ligenfelter a call. I just ordered my 003 today. Was told 1 wire to the clutch wire from the pcm and one wire to either ground or 12v. Also was told to get the diode so the LL does not give a voltage spike to the units processor??

This is what I was told awhile back when I called. I have a M6, linelock, and nitrous
1.MAP plug don't use
2.grey for laptop input
3.green don't use
4.orange wire into nitrous system w/ 12+ switched source
5.yellow wire into clutch w/ line lock

I would disconnect the battery now for about a minute, then reconnect and see if she's good.

Real dumb question after reading your original post again. You are 100% positive you are wired into the correct pcm wire? Again, not saying your not just trying to figure out why after you disconnected the coil pack it still has issues. Paying close attention as I plan on installing mine this week.

I just went over everything again. And i'm 100% sure everything is wired correctly. So I called LPE and spoke with ryan, he says I need (or needed) some transient voltage suppression diode kits for my solenoids (linelock, purge, nitrous and fuel). Theres a good chance that there was a voltage spike that fried my PCM because I didn't have does tvs doides on my soleniods before trying to use the lnc-002. So I ordered 4 of them and hope that my pcm is alright. I'll keep you posted.

When I talked to Ryan on Friday he said I was good with just the kit and he asked if I had any solenoids and when I said yes he told me I needed this diode thing that cost an extra $5 so I went with it. He said it would spike and ruin the computer, I thought he meant the LNC controller not the actuall pcm. Keep us posted.

Page 10 of 15 is how im wired mine. Diodes should be here thursday. I'm crossing my fingers on the pcm, doubt it though I have nothing but bad luck.

Would someone look over the diagram on page 10 of 15. Once I push in the clutch it should provide power to the yellow wire right? Only when pushed in? In turn which should power up the lnc-002 for the 2step stuff. Only when my clutch is in the yellow wire has power. Am I seeing something wrong? The only way my car will run is if ground out the green wire, which makes the lnc-002 work all the time as a rev limiter, unplug it while the car is running it will die. I think the lnc-002 is bad or damaged. Any ideas????? And yes I put in the doides on the silenoids.

That is my impression from both talking with 3 different people over there and the wiring diagram. However, I am pretty sure that ground completes the circuit for the clutch anticipate switch not 12v. I would try hooking just the green wire up to where you currently have the yellow one. I plan on running the green wire and tapping into the cruise contol module for the clutch switch since I do not have the pcm option. I plan on starting on mine tomorow. The diode wire you just put it inbetween the positive and negative wires on the LL solenoid right?

I thought about hooking up the green one from controller to the yellow wire from clutch but the connecters are the same (female to female). And theres probably a reason for that. I don't want to mess anything else up. As for the doides yes you just wire them from one side to the other of the silenoid, doesn't matter which way. Says keep it as close as possible to the silenoid. Heres a link http://www.lingenfelter.com/sites/li...ons%20v1.2.pdf

You need to put a test light on the clutch wire then. Have someone push the clutch in and using the battery terminals see what makes it light up 12v or gound. Bought to start on mine. I will let you know.

okay all you had to do was wire the green wire in the the purple wire off the clutch switch i used a test light and found its a ground circuit. So all you have to do is take the green wire off the two step and wire it to the purple wire on the clutch switch and it will work mine been working for a long time setup up this way. Know if you do it this way everytime the clutch is pushed in and you get to the rpm the 2 step is set to it will come on . If you dont want it to be on all the time you need to wire a simple toggle switch inline with the green wire

^^^Just about to post the same thing. I just got done f%$^ with mine. Thought I could get a signal off the cruise module with no luck so pulled the IP panel off and like you said and I thought the green wire on the switch is ground all the time and when you push the switch in it completes the circuit and the ppl/wht wire is a ground signal. So, yes wire right into the ppl/wht wire on the clutch switch.
