Mine can't be for stock ,but they do make clutchless and non clutchless versions. I have always ran a clutch assisted trans. Clutchless would be nice to try sometime.

You can't go wrong with a Jerico they are nice trannies for the money.

DR4-4 jerico is the clutchless one. But you have to run the right clutch to shift clutchless. It has to slip when you shift or it will destroy the transmission.

if you arent familiar with a "slider" clutch your in way over your head... having a real fast clutch car is hard to keep a handle on unless you know someone who can teach you how change the clutch tune-up.. lots of variables

weight, pressure, rpm just to name a few... then you need a brake gauge... staging a clutch car is something to learn in itself...

if you dont mind spending a whole season just learning then go for it.... its a challenge.

I'm going to give it a shot. A good data logger should help make sence of it all.

any more information like a sponsor or pricing? What would I have to modifiy on my T56? I'm assuming it's easier on parts?
Simple... Call Tick Peformance, talk to Joey. They built me a faceplated T56. I have only driven it a mile or two on the street so far and not raced it as of yet. But it feels like it will be **** load of fun to shift at WOT.

I am not going to run a Soft Loc because I drive my car on the street quite a bit.

A Soft Loc is cheaper than most other clutches that will hold power at high RPM in a fast car.

Yes they do not last long, but if its a race only car it will last quite a bit for most people.

The price is not the problem with a clutch like that, its the trial an error of setting it up right.

Probably, I don't know about all the bells and whistles though. If I remember right you can get it without the dash for not that much? It's going to cost enough just to put a Jerico and get the right clutch for it. Not counting the little stuff here and there.

not tryin to hyjac the tread but had some question of my own about this whole drag only 6-sp clutchless, faceplated setup u are speakin of!

1st-whats the cost on average for a built t-56 w faceplating?

2nd- does anyone out there make a cable clutch kit conversion out there to rid these cars of there hydralics and does this have to be done to run one of those sof- loc clutch setups?

thats all i can think of 4 now any input would be appreciated!

1st - If you want the price on a face plated trans the best thing I can tell you is contact someone like Joey at Tick Performance. They are a sponsor on this site. 704-660-5843

2nd - No you do not need to convert to a cable clutch. You can use the SoftLoc with your hydrolics.

whats the nature of these faceplated trannies meaing how they feel shiftin wise. is a sofloc/faceplated combo anyway streetable, i occasionally would like to take short, very short trips w the car ( were talkin 15 miles one way maybe) and why dont more guys go this route makin there 6 spds clutchless rather than goin the traditional auto route? goin clutchless seems as efficent as a auto because u dont have the problem of loading and unloading the tires and suspension like a 6 spd that u have to use the clutch on the shifts! I am curious and had 2 ask.

A softloc can be street driven. Just have to readjust it. 15 miles shouldn't be a problem. I drive mine(no softloc) on the street alot. Even with a normal clutch you just tap the clutch alittle during wot upshifts
