Default hvac delete ?

i did some searching and read some posts from all the way back to 04 but still couldn't find an answer. the motor is currently out of the car and i want to delete the underhood section of the box with retaining the heat and defroster. my question is can i cut the under hood section into pieces and trim it back to the firewall so i don't have to pull the dash? i can't find any pics of the inside so i'm not sure what is in the under hood portion. i'm worried if i pull the dash i'm gonna break the top piece seeing it's already cracked

the filter the heater core and abig *** open space ar under the under hood portion. I would just bite the bullet n pull the dash. especially if your keeping the heat. if your losing it all then to hell with it chop it off.

so the heater core is in the under hood section? i thought it was under the dash itself. i've looked through the dash removall write ups and it looks like it requires alot of patience, something i'm not known for. gonna work on it in the morning, i guess we'll see

I bought this piece recently from BMR. It's an awesome piece fits perfect and looks great. BMR's customer service was excellent they followed up on the package to make sure I recieved it. If your going to buy a delete plate this is the one to buy.
