Small lead shot makes good ballast, easy to deal with and easy to fill/remove, etc.

Nice setup for sure.. I'm gonan have my guy put one in every corner of my car if it gets light enough so I have to put some back in. This way it can do wherever I need it, much like what you did

Every time I watch one of these builds, I make some notes about what to do to make something just that little bit better!

are you still using the stock frame attachment points for the lower control arms or do you have them bolting to the "new" chassis? pic?

The frame rails are in the factory locations. The LCA are mounted to the inboard side of the factory mount; the same as on my last car. At this point LCA location really does not even matter anymore since no classes even require the factory LCA locations. Hind sight I should have just cut them ugly brackets all out and made it look cleaner. Oh well, next car maybe...

I can't get Stenod to answer they're phone, my emails, or phone messages but I figure they check this thread from time to time. Is there anyway they can get a hold of a Joe Van O prostock camaro spoiler for me? I'm wanting to buy one but everyone I call gives me a different story of why they can't get one...

I tried them, they said he is moving to a new shop. When I called Madman & Co. they said he retired. I'm hoping he is just moving...

You can call DMH, and talk to him... he has the ability to make alot of stuff out of carbon. If he can get something to pull a mold off of I'm 99% sure that it can be made. And, he's on top of stuff, you order stuff from him he's making it within a week or less and getting it out the door... no 20 week wait.

I'd talk to him... see what he can do.

last I heard is that he bought a farm and was heavily scaling back...he downsized so its just him now. I also heard he really has no interest in making the wings anymore, he much prefers the full bodies...

damn shame because its pretty nice stuff...

I finally got his number a little bit ago and talked with him myself finally. He didn't seem to have any objections making a spoiler for me and was a really nice guy to boot, so I went ahead and ordered one while I could! /hijack

Any more updates with pics??

Why didn't you go with madmans wing? The Van O wing is nice but its also great to support our sponsors.

Tom,

I've been thinking about this and decided to look at a couple builds. The LCA mounts on your rear end are extremely narrow. It looks like there is just the rod end bolted through there with no spacer on it. There seems to be zero possibility of the end rotating. As a suspension newb trying to work out the details on his 9'' help me out.

Honestly, because I think his spoiler follows the curves and the body lines of the car better than any other on the market. Don't get me wrong, I like Madman's and it was my second choice and I have spent a decent amount of money with him but I wanted a Joe Van O.
