EDIT: How many gallons does your dry sump tank hold? Is there a science to this or is it based on size constraints of the tank?
I worked the tank size out with Bill Dailey from Dailey Engineering but there is really no rocket science involved. My tank holds exactly 1.5 gallons. I completely drain the oil and replace the filter EVERY race. We are not doing any roundy round stuff here so 3 gallon tanks like the one I used last year are just excess mass for me. I looked at tanks in capacities from 1 to 5.5 gal. It's purpose is to serve simply as the primary oil reservoir. The tank receives the oil scavenged from the outlet ports of the dry sump pump, the oil enters the tank’s inlet fitting, the oil hits an internal “strainer” that directs the oil in a stream, the oil falls into the reservoir to be pumped back through the engine. Potentially some small reduction in oil temps might be achieved with increased volume but the minimal run time I see it is not really necessary.

I assume there is a drain hidden somewhere on that monstrosity of a ic/tb/h20tank....
Absolutely!

A little converter pic. We don't like to use Chance converters or anything...

^ What was wrong with the original white doors? I noticed your passenger side door missing after a couple pictures. Is your car ever going to run again? I keep seeing it in all of the background of the Stenod builds and it looks like it is slowly and slowly losing pieces every time I see it. I'm guessing it's kind of like my 93. It may run at some point, but it is so far from ever going back together right now that I don't even both with it.

In regards to the converter how much weight does the aluminum / titanium assembly save?

I still have the white doors and they are perfectly good but all the hardware like cranks and windows and handles are sitting in a box and Harlan's were ready to go. Not that it is very difficult to put the doors together, it's just our way of keeping the original turbo LS Firehawk alive! And yes, there will be Harlan shift light in front of me too. Some things you just don't mess with.

The converter is about 5-6lbs lighter. I told Marty I was happy with our last set up but he was not having it so next thing I know...

Maybe eventually. But I wasn't using the stock doors anyway, carbon So it saves me from having to sell and ship them

I just have to find a place to put the car, since I now live 2 1/2 hours away from it
