Hey Denny, I did not know you were into bugs. Thursday and Friday at Milan is where I will be. Taking it easy, just getting a little seat to to start the season off.

I hate watching this video but pay close attention to about 23 sec into the pass. What do you think happened? I was back in the groove and pulling hard until I hit high gear. Looks like I either hit a speed bump or started to pull the tires at the 1/8?

sorry to see that Tom...that video angle makes it terribly difficult to assess what happened. did you log driveshaft speed on that? at these power levels, it doesn't take much...bump upset the chassis, one tire has more traction than the other, and it gets some twist as a result. Even though it tagged, it was a killer driving effort to keep it from being much much worse!

Looks like a speed bump coupled with no front suspension travel. Really nice job trying to catch it.

Front suspension was definitely too tight, so that is one clear contributor.

Thanks for all the kind words! We are working hard to get it back by July.

Tom, I’m glad you're ok but I know it must hurt to damage what must have been a labor of love. I hope it can be restored to its previous glory.

The video makes me think you had no chance to recover - the car appeared to be unstable. Has there been any discussion at your level of what might be done to make drag cars behave better when, inevitably, they get a bit sideways? Should skinnies be banned? Should front swaybars be required?

Really sorry to hear what happened. At least you did an awesome job saving it and nobody was hurt. Mad props to you for not letting this stuff get you down. I remember when the red car kissed the wall before the 1 LSX Shootout and you guys thrashed that out and kicked ***.... I am sure the same result will be had with this car..... and much faster ET's ! Good luck on getting it back together!

Well, the Money Shot crew is about ready to light the wick again after our unfortunate crash just 3mos ago. I must give a huge thank you to Joe, Kevin and Dan, my family and the friends and family of all my crew! Holiday weekends, early mornings and late nights, without your patience and understanding we could never dream of doing what we do! Billy Briggs Racing Engines, thanks for the best engine, shop, equipment and more than I could ask for! Yes, Billy Briggs Racing Engines is also the shop and home of our race team. Most importantly your patience with fixing everything I break. Skinny Kid Race Cars, you built an amazing car that exceeded my expectations with not only quality and craftsmanship but help and support more than I could have imagined. Reiter Metal Craft, I appreciate your help with the last minute call for all the body work and prime over a holiday weekend. LaFontaine, your sponsorship and helpful team took great care in getting parts and providing the means to help this rebuild. I love my new GMC tow truck!

Thanks!
