lexan question. help
i have a s10 that is getting a cage. now can i use lexan for the rear window so i can put the bars threw it? i know lexan is not d.o.t for windsheild. but can i run it in the back?
If you are asking if you can legally run a lexan rear window on the street, I would say yes. If a convertible can run a plastic rear window(or none w/ the top down) why can't you?
yea true i just dont want to have them bitchin about the lexan rear window and tell me to take in out and put just glass back in. and i wouldnt beable to do so with the roll cage in....
I've seen lots of trucks with rear lexan windows with cages going through the window driving on the streets. I cant really see how it would be a problem, like stated above verts have plastic rear windows.

mount the lexan in the stock rubber seal and dont' paint the border... just make it look like stock. i doubt they will give you any slack about it. maybe a different story if it were the front or side windows.
ya if you do that you shouldnt have a problem, it will look just like regular glass. cops will find anything to give tickets about if they see a fast car/truck they automatically think ur out street racing causing trouble.pisses me off.(sorry had to get that out) -tony-
