ya thanks for sharing them, you run it like that with open TB? I know you can't port it or do the bumpstop mod, Im sure they know to look for that no a days. But how do they check it? can you "change stuff) so the TB opens more?
I heard of some guys had steath fast intakes on they car years ago, tech didnt know what to look for back then, same with the TB,

snky fast I had on my car for a while..

You would still set them up to "street/strip" specs them? For the heat cylces of street driving, over a track only car (tighter)?

My friend has some video from Indy. He will have to post to put it on here I'll see if he can.

As far as the pro gear I set them up for the track and just drive to cruises once in awhile. I have never put alot of miles on them just short trips.

The bump stop mod I have seen on some cars ,but being new I didn't want to ruffle any feathers my first time out as far as intakes, no way they checked my car at Indy like it had 8 pounds of crack in it lol. Being a new guy they really looked the car over well. You have to write the intake part# down on your tech card and believe me they know what to look for.

Look up Emmons racing they are National event winners. They won the US Nats last year. They run an LT1 with the up dated 4th gen front end. The chassis have frame conectors welded to the stock sub frames and go through the floor. They run auto trans by Metric. Ike posted above they run no filters just open T-body with the IAT senser hanging in front of it. The engines are stock but far from stock a long block can cost from 25-50K, but last more then a season.

http://www.nhra.com/competition/blueprints.aspx

First is the classification guide with the HP rating and the second is the engine specs.

$25-$50k. It is more on the 25k side for a killer LT1 and a little more for a killer LS. You can do them for much less.

I don't know if there is a company named Metric, but when people tell you they run a Metric trans it means a turbo 200.

The guys with the illegal intake got caught.

Thanks Bob she still only has 3700 original miles! I need to get some new pics of it all done now.

As far a the lid you are not allowed to run any sort of ram air or alter it per the rules. I don't even think they allow the lid thats why everyone just runs an open t/b. Its either that, or the way it came from the factory.

Orange car used to have a 421 in back in the day and ran 9.70's at 141 with a stock 6spd at 3450 real race weight N/A. It is an original m6 car.

R&R chassis did the cage and do great work. I just wanted it like that, thats why its the way it is. It only needs a bar I know ,but I like it like that

It doesn't need beadlocks either ,but I like em There is no bars through the firewall.

If any one is looking to get in very reasonably here you go. I know the car and it has all the good pieces. It is a 98 car so you can change to an LS if you want.

There ya go. Can't even approach that level of a car by building one with only $25,500.00 to spend.

Suprised I missed this old thread, the Tosto car is very nice, I've seen the Gump car in person too, and it's a real beauty.

I used the LS2 block with Darton sleeves. This is one of the things that drives the expense up on the LS1.....

I am fairly certian that Al's motors use Darton sleeves also, I was at the shop that builds his motors on friday, he sleeves all of his stocker motors from what I can tell.. even a 396 BBC he was doing, he claims he gets much better ring seal and much longer life between freshenings.
