joey the control arms have nothing to do with a 28in tall tire fitting, wheel and tire width are your main concern. but those single umi's will work great for you.
p.s. most likely you will need to do the BFH mod though

I had 28x9 M/T ET Drags on a 15x10 wheel with the stock LCA's and they didn't rub at all.

Yeah they do a little... Look at any F-body that has non adjustables. The wheel/tire sets farther to one side of the well..Mine sat back a little, looked dumb really.. The Adjustables help center the rear in the wheel well, I just didnt know if I needed a douable or single just to make sure I would get the most clearance!!

You want a rod ended double adjustable, and they should be offset, so that you don't have issues with the tire rubbing on the control arm. Madman in this case would be your best bet for sure, his are offset, etc.

The double adjustable will help you center the tire in the wheel well so you don't have to do as much beating/cutting/trimming to get the tire on the car.

my bad, misunderstood your question, however not all f-bodies are alike some folks have simply just set them at the same length as the stock lcas center to center and have had no problem fitting the 28in and being centered. Some of that is due to worn bushings. The double adjustables will also help any burn out walk you experience. an adjustable panhard bar will help some of the side to side clearance as well since the bushings get worn and cause the rearend to "sag" to one side or the other. also when you do adjust them this may affect your pinion angle somewhat so be sure to check it.

it shifts the control arm, which is a smaller diameter (stronger due to the thick wall CM tubnig) in towards the center of the car, and has some alum bushings that are built specificially to shift the rod end in the control arm opening inwards, this, along with the smaller diameter increases the clearance between the tire and the control arm alot, like gives you another inch plus.

I've test fit wheels/tires and there's no need for them on a 28x12.5x15 tire from what I've found.

My 27x10.5s fit great with room to spare on boxed non adjustable LCAs. Ill be putting in some 28s in the next few days. So we will see if I need some adjustable LCAs but I doubt it.

Narrow the rear 4.25 inches and try to put a 15x10 with a 4 inch backspace on, you'll be glad you have them

If you ever want to put a 325/50 radial on, or a 28x13.5 tire you'll be very glad you did the offset control arms.

Way I look at it, mine as well do it the first time and not have to go thru the hassle of doing them again and having to resquare the car, etc.etc.
