Default Narrow rears with backspaceing

All right order a MWC fab housing and we agreed 2 1/2 chop on each side. But see alot of guys run 3 inch chop. I am going to run a 5.5 BS not mini tubbed, so was wondering if i should call and change the length i like the look of the wheels pulled in a inch. but idk if i keep it this way it will be a half inch. Just need your guys opinion, pros and cons, And with a hoosier QTP dot tire 28 inch tall how much will to grow?

I got a Strange 12 bolt. I narrowed it 3 inches on each side. Im running a 15x10 wheel with a 4.5 backspacing. Depending on what tire you run determines what youll have to cut. I cut the bump stop and banged the inner wheel well a little and have no problems. Youll need to get some offset control arms also.

Thats with the 325-50-15 MT

Thats with the 30x9x15 Hoosier

By far the Hoosier fits a lot better. Theres a lot more room between the tire and inner wheel well. Hope this helps.

Friend of mine is running a 3'' narrowed (per side) rear end with 5'' backspacing 10'' wide wheels with 10'' DRs. Looks great. I'll probably be running the same spacing just with a 10.5'' slick.

So guys with 3 inch chop, and a 5.5 BS, how much BFH and do you have to have offset control arms? I have seen alot of ppl with this and like the look of the wheel pulled in a inch. And are they mini tubbed, going to run a 10.5 tire

Narrow 3" you want to run 4.5" backspacing for a 5.5" backspacing you usually run narrowed 2.5" on each side

kinda like to look of the Rim and tire pulled in a inch. and seen photos around here where ppl done it without minitubbing just would like to know how much Hammering, already cut the bumpstops off and beat it in a little.

bump for info, curious if a true 28x10.5 on a 10" wheel will fit without a mini tub.

Yes a M/T 28 10.5 isn't much wider than the Hoosier 30 x 9.0 pictured above. Has almost the same section width as well. I own both sets of those tires and had the 4" back spacing 10" wheel with 3" narrower rear per side no mini tub. There might be an inch left in there but you may have to do just a little more work to pull it in that last inch, would be close.
