[QUOTE=AChotrod;13110509]Heres how they fit. I still need to center the rear a bit, but still not sure im happy with how far they stick out compaired to my 27x10.5s. Damn I wish they made a 28x10.5 DOT bias ply tire.

Nope MT has 28x11.5s also. That was the plan until I found out they didnt make them, which IMO is retarded. How can they have a 27x10.5 and not a 28x10.5....

FWIW, the ET street (not DR's) run an inch narrower than ET drags. So if you want a 28X10.5 DOT bias ply tire, get the 28X11.5 ET street. It will be the exact same size as a 28X10.5 (non W) ET drag. So unless you run a class that says the tire must say "10.5" on the sidewall, thats what you want.

Don't ask me why MT does this, but I learned it years ago and measured some for myself, its true.

Same thing as the Hoosiers tread is only 10" wide. When I picked them up there was a brand new pair of ET drags there and they were fatter than my 11.5 QTPs

I fit 28x12.50 et streets with rolling the fender and BFH, they tuck pretty good inside the wheel well also. Its the et street equivalent of the 28x10.50 et drag

Im gonna drop the car some more so the tires sit inside the body better. Anyone know how much upward travel the suspension has when its loaded. Dropped all the way the rear 1/4 is about 1" above the tire.

Damn that looks pretty good, what tire did you go with in the rear? Hoosier Qtp 11.5, stock length rear? and what front tires are they streetable? Those Race stars look great.

Rears are 28x11.5 QTPs on 15x8 w/5.5 BS Racestars stock width s60 rear all NON adjustable suspension and NO modifications to the wheel well. Front rims are GW drag stars with ET Fronts(not meant for the street)

Looks good! So how wide is the contact patch? I want to go with 28s also on a 15x8 wheel but I want the widest tire I can fit.

They are fine on the street as long as its dry and you can remember your not a slot car. They seem to almost have all the tread on the ground even at 35 psi, and Hoosier recommends a 8" wheel for them

Wow, that looks slick. Needs some white letters on the front tires to match. But looks aside, I think you've got some traction now

Quick idea for a cheap aesthetic fix, you can buy a white tire pen and fill in the letters, outline, etc.

Everyone think there is enough room for tire growth?

Thanks!
Heres an idle vid and you can see the rear tire clearance (near end of vid) does anyone think I need to trim the bumper or roll the fenders?
