Bringing this back to life! I've been in love with your Camaro ever since I saw your pic on Fquick & then saw that it went 11.5 stock internal

No it hasn't hit the track yet, I've only put about 100 miles on it so far. I'm hoping to get it track ready by the end of February. As for the Hoosiers I think this set is on it's way out. They only have about 500 miles on them but they've been sitting for almost two years and they just don't feel as sticky as they used to.

I gotta get me a new set of et street bias ply's, they have hardly any tread left on them and will go from 30 psi to nothing in three days lol. They still busted of 1.5x's last time at the track tho. Mine were bought in 09 so they are really old. You goin with the same tire again?

I'm ready to see what yours is gonna run. Mine has been losing power right after shifts, not sure what it is yet but think its throwing alot more fuel in it after power shifting. It's not as bad when i granny shift it but it really slows it down doing that. I think i am close to figuring it out but don't know yet. Got a best of 11.62 when i was granny shifting lol.

I'll probably go back to 275 ET Streets. I don't really need any more than that.

No ****? I've never really seen anyone use them around here. I'll look at it though, the Hoosiers are usually lighter and cheaper than MT's. They just don't seem to last as long.

Yeah you won't see to many use the mickey 275's anymore. The hoosier 275 from what i heard is more forgiving. You have people running 7.6x's with these jokers. I have heard they do wear out quicker than the mickey's but the mickey's don't last too long themselves.

I love reading these builds. I have read yours, camscam, and Studderins builds from cover to cover. I just wanted to thank you for posting up all this info to keep us motivated and learning.

I am copying you guys, a few steps behind of course, but all the info is much appreciated.

I need to get some carpet for this thing and was looking at the one speed inc has without the hatch area. Does anyone know if that one goes as far back as the stock carpet? Or is it smaller?

Yeah. I ordered it un cut (deleted a bunch of stuff) and just set it in the car, kinda mashed it down and there it is. I scraped some insulation stuff off the bottom of it and I HATE the built on rubber mat that it has to protect the carpet from wear. When I let off the clutch it catches my heel. Im gonna put some floor mats in it.

really? Ive had mine for years now, still looks great, super happy with it. I had more trouble with floor mats, even back stock beofre I did the drill mod running low 13 shifting slow. And the DIY de padded stock carpet started getting fuzzy under the clutch after 1 summer with no floor mats. The Speed inc has great.. It did have a little lip on the heel pad the my shoe started to curl up after the 1st week maybe? That was outside the stitching. I took a new razor and sliced off the curl lip, so now theres not much extra pad outside the stitching there.
Check into that.

looks good, love that style hood. Hopefully i will finally be able to run at the track this weekend. My home track has has timing system problems like crazy then some kind of electrical problem turning off the main light to the track last time there. 2 times to the track not 1 pass. Hope you get some good times man.
