Question Hoosier burnout question how to do one?

I just got some 28x10.5 stiff side wall slicks on some Bogart's and never had this tire before so my question is what type of burnout do these tires like?

stick or auto trans?

You want to burn them enough to where the temperature is about 10-15 degrees warmer than the track temp, but that's an average. Every car is different. I have been told on a slick you want to burn them until you feel the motor start to "pull down" (meaning after you get them spinning and some smoke the slick will start to bite and the rpms drop) and then you roll out of the box. I just do a 2-3 second burnout on mine and come out the box hard on the gas to burn through any standing water in front of the burn box and keep the tread clean to the line.

If you do not have a line lock. Install one NOW! Even with an auto, its easier on the car and drivetrain.

.

I've been running Hoosiers for 15-20 years. You do not need a top fuel burnout.
Get up on the tire, hold for 2-3 seconds and run it out.
That's it, killing every mosquito in the state is not needed.
