Need inexpensive aftermarket Valve covers???
What aftermarket valve covers are you guys running?
I currently have 1 inch spacers but they leak so I am looking for a set of inexpensive tall covers to replace them with.
What are your thoughts?
TIA

Mine are more than just seeping at this point. On the dyno today they blew oil everywhere
I have found these on Ebay, they look decent for the price but I would need to drill and tap for my crankcase ventilation

I do get alot of complaints about the spacers leaking. Quality and cheap don"t really go together. I have no issues with our covers leaking. Our custom Fabricated covers start at $350 a pair.

We have the cheap e-bay covers (probably the same as above, but from a different seller). We went with the non polished, tall covers, with NO provisions for coil packs. They seem decent, not top tier quality, but maybe better than you would expect for the price. I didn't feel bad drilling them and welding in fittings, I can tell you that.
We added some -10 bungs for breather tanks, and powder coated them S&S crinkle black.

I had a set of nasty ones, they were great, took a little work to get them positioned just right, but when they were sitting on the head right they never leaked a drop... just have to play with them (front to back) to get it just right.
I dunno how good they are, but there's a TON on chinabay for sale that look decent and are pretty cheap too.
I did see, a nice set of C5R ones on there for sale.... for 699.99 LOL. Yeah right.

everything fits right buy I had to shim the oil dip stick because they are taller. The polished finish is top notch. They have sealed good for me so far. I couldn't see spending 5 times that much for the same thing and its not even polished.

That could be a problem for me. I have some very large rockers that are bound to be an issue....
I may still get a set to try, see what the problem is and see how workable it is.
As for the dipstick, I'm putting a moroso pan on so that thing's useless at this point, I was going to just figure out what the engine will hold (with the remote filter and lines, and the accusump) and once I have that figured out, drill/tap the dipstick hole and not run one.
With the way I change oil (every track trip, so figure ever 5 to 6 runs average) I see no reason to even check it, just figure out what it takes, put that # of qt bottles up on the motor, drain, change filter, and before the hood goes back on put all the bottles in... pretty dummy proof IMO.

I've got the Moroso street/strip pan and Moroso said the stock stick is accurate, was true. Between my remote lines and monster oil filter I hold an additional 1.75 quarts
