Default 8.8 mini ladder bar times????

I see a lot of people with this setup who say it seems to hook well on the street. Just wondering if anyone has any actual track times? Videos?

Are you referring to the pete Z bars? If so they do work, I wouldn't run them in anything making a ton of power due to the inherent wheelstands that they like to cause from the guys I know that have run that type of setup. That tiny short "ladder bar" tends to really want to lift the car for whatever reason.

the front lca mount becomes the instant center. so it is really short which hits the tires super hard. too much anti-squat in my opinion. a really good rear shock may help to control it but would just be a band-aid.

I wouldn't run them myself either, but for a stock internal car that's at the track all the time I can see it working... like said by 9sec it's really too much for anything with any power, or a really fast car.

Then again I think Ed Wright is running them on his car and he's in the single digits, so it can work, but I don't like the wheel stands that they generally cause.

I know Ed used to run them, and I watched him pull some MONSTER wheel stands a several years ago.

They won't make your car wheel stand
any worse that a ladder bar. You can
watch a round of Stock Eliminator F body
cars and tell who has the PeteZ bars and
who just uses a torque arm and big anti- roll
bar. The PeteZ bars need no anti-roll bar
at all, and allow easy adjustments if it's not
going straight if does do a long wheel stand.
Nothing is going to make a car that doesn't
have a really good torque converter and good
torque do big wheel stands. A lot of cars with
those don't wheel stand. Front travel limiters
and adjustable shocks are needed to control
that. Big wheelies slow you down, about a foot
off the ground does not. It's hard to dead hook
one with no rotation at all. Mine runs quickest
with them 8" to a foot off the ground. Less than
that and it is usually spinning the tires.

thinking of doing to this to my slow camaro will maybe at best run mid high 11s .

will be adding this to a 8.8 with 10bolt tubes ,,

but i need aloot more information .

how do they ride on the street and about at what et will they actually hurt the times ?

wouldnt mind a few small wheelies but dont want some thing ridiculous .

figured this is my best option for my DIY 8.8 rear end !

so again (as always really), its just the setup itself. its not so much just the specific part.

What about hooking the car on the street with 315,35-17s?? Any info?? The car should run 11.0s on motor and prolly 10.0s or so on the spray??
