165R15, think it's a 25.3. I guess the new equivilent is a 165/80/15. These are still street tires though.

25x4.5 moroso drag specials. I'm gonna switch to a 26-27 for more ground clearance.

Hoosier 26's here. I love em, they're one of the lightest front's available.

the 26-27 ( is a 28" front possible on a 15?) question kinda depends on the use of the car, street dury normally requires a little more tire to help with inclines going into parking lots and if you have ABS you would need to ensure that the front and rear are withing tolerances to not play hell with it

I have a 26'' Moroso. I suggest staying away from the metric tires. If you want a radial, M/T makes one.

When my GF runs 28's in the back, we have a set of 28' Moroso DS2 28's on the front as she like all her bells and whistles to work, lol (abs, TC..etc...)

For informational purposes,

15x4 convo pro with the DS2 28' tire weighs 23 lbs
15x4 convo pro with a 26' MT Sporstman weighs 30lbs
15x3.5 billet specialties street lite with a MT SR radial 28.8 lbs

All weights taken on my bathroom scale FWIW.

That honestly depends on what the car ran in the first place and how hard it 60's. You are adding rollout which in a sense gives you more of a rolling start before the timing lights are activated and will result in a slightly better time. Just don't go out looking to buy a taller tire expecting to pick up a tenth. lol

I would like to see his before and after times (full readout of the time slip) and if at all possible with the DA of both passes to help rule out how much the weather did or didn't play a factor in the end result.

From what I have always saw I think the improvement can be pretty similar on most cars to the gain from going to bias ply front runners over the 165M radial up front. (I just hate the look of a 28" front on these cars!! )

It is very small but remember we race with rules and any gain no matter how small is victory for us. If the air is not there or it is hot out and the car is down on power you can put the smaller tire on to keep the reaction times. After all SE is a performanced based bracket race. You don't need good lights to win, you need killer lights. You can also "adjust" your lights with air pressure. If you are off one day and keep redlighting lower the pressure to dial yourself in or to cut a better light raise the pressure.

You guys can run anything you want. Turbo, Blower, Juice. No rules. You can spend your money in other places for a better result if all you are looking to do is put up the best number on the scoreboard.

I have thouse Nexen radials you get cheap form Mcorine? racing tires in MI, He sells them on Egay and YB for $140 shipped. there cheap and fit 15x3.5 and will last on the street. There about 25.5 tall and a little short. The car stages reall fast with them. I would like to get bigger ones. ALso have a set of 26 DS2 thouse are lighter, but I'd kill them fast street driving.
