Do they all bolt in place of the crossbrace? If so im gonna have problems cause my y pipe hangs really low. Whats my options for drive shaft loops?

Most DS loops are designed for the stock exhaust in mind some allow for most major aftermarket Y pipe. BMR, UMI make good ones. Be prepared to have a number of different length bolts for bolting it in and then also different sized washers for shimming it down if needed.

Also be prepared to grind if needed.

It is ideal to do this on a lift as you can get a good idea on clearence.

MWC should probably have a D/S loop for your application. I'm pretty sure they even have D/S loops for TSP-style duals(not applicable to you). Just give them a call.

I have never ever been checked For a DSL even on Slicks running mid 11s. BUT..... I sure as hell have one in the car for safety reasons plus I like my car.

Comp eng has a good cheap one that bolts in fits a lot of different exhaust set ups and you dont even need to pull the DS to put it in.

Uh, yeah, me too.

Don't see why anyone would race without one, especially toolin' around on ET streets. They are a nasty tire!

Actually you're better off with the car on jackstands, with the rear on the stands so the loaded suspension position is seen. With the rear hanging on a lift you don't know where the driveshaft is at normal height.

A 4 post drive on lift would be perfect for this type of thing, if that's what you meant....

Actually that was the rear end ripping out of the car from a ladder bar failure, not a driveshaft.

You got it. Also using a Pole Jack to push the rear end up ona 2 post lift works too.

That's somewhat dangerous though, you're now supporting a large portion of the back of the car.... not something I'd want to do with a car that high up. Lift starts to fall a little onto the stops, that could send the car off the front of the lift... pretty much totalling a car out. Not good!

I used to see that from Ron, so take that for what you will. I'll be installing mine next week, I'll let you know how that goes.
