YUP. step up to 28' summer or DR for the street. And 28" Slicks for the track. The 28x10.5x15 stiff, most of the guys run, a few do it with the hoosiers too. And change the gears to, see if you can find a local with 4:56s or somthing and check them out. Its better on the street. You might find a few m6 guys get 1.45s on 26" setups, and 4:11s but not on a normal track with street cars. The 28's are way more consistent, and you dont need the best track prep of the year. Even the auto guys will tell you that.

This was the best i did with 3.89 gears 26x10x15 slicks and a 2 step set at 6800rpm.I say save your for a gear and tire setup and dont waste any more time and money with the 4.11's Trust Me and stud we have been working at this for some time now we know.

Since we're all sharing vids. Here is a vid of my car from last year. I was launching of the 2-step at 6600rpm on a 28" ET Drag. Fastest run last year was 11.23@122 with a 1.56 60'. This year the car is at least 200lbs lighter and I've installed a UMI dragbar, 98mm lid, 85mm maf, and Chris1313 ram air. So hopefully I can squeeze into the 10s.

Rob, when you say no matter what psi or any of that i will bog... Are you meaning because I am running a 26" tall tire or because it's not a slick? I Don't want to have slicks on the car because it will be a 90% street car. I will be buying the mt et radials.

Is a 275/60/15 a 28" tall tired?

Oh and I haven't bought the rear end yet. It will be this Thursday at the latest that I pull the trigger!

I am talking about both i have tryed drag Rad. and 26 slicks both a huge waste of time. and money. You will bog and hook or you will blow the tire off it. And if you run 4.10's and a 26 Drag Rad there is no way in hell you will get any kind of hook. the vid i posted was me on a 26 slick and with killer prep. and just so you know your better off doing what johnny did get a set of stock wheels with a good m/h rad 28 tall with a bigger gear 430 or 456 and have a track pack drag rims and tires you get do this cheap. me and johnny both drive are cars alot. i drove my car 25miles one way to work this morning. And i am nuts i drive on my 28X10.5X15 slicks every were i go. I just hate to see you waste your time and money like i did. take my word it wont work well at all. you will kick your self when you go the track and a S.I A4 blows right by you

Well... I'm convinced. I'm going to go with the 4:56 gear. Will a non-slick 28" tall tire hook? I drive 45 minutes to the track... don't really want to do it on a slick tire so I'm hoping a 275/60/15 MT ET Street Radial will do it for me.

Get a 28x12.5 ET Street then. I tryed teh Hooiser 325/50/15 Radials(some say better than the MTs) and I couldnt get a good 60ft with them. Best was a 1.70 not to bad but not what I was hoping for. So I switched to 28x13.5s ET STreets, its bias ply but still very streetable. Rain is a no no but anyone should know that, I think I might be going back to radials because of the challenge and the car didnt bog with them and still ran faster!

I have 15x8s. They don't recommend that tire for my size wheel. Minimum for that is 9" width.

Thanks for the invite but I've got the interior torn apart right now and probably won't get a chance to work on it till next week. Hvac/evap, pass airbag, and anything else that gets in my way is coming out. I'm planing on making a trip to Byron on Sept 25 if y'all wanna meet up.
