Anyone with VFN doors, know if the door bottom is the same depth?
I want to frame mine out and reuse the frame at a later stage, when I get glass doors.
Catch ya.
Hey Guys, my molly came in a week or so ago. Got a couple of easy bars to make up to begin wit,h and notch the start of the through firewall bars.
Guys with VFN doors......... Im trying to get an idea of the internal shape, so I can frameout my gutted standard doors and then reuse the framework on some VFN doors at a latter stage.
Catch ya.

Finally getting to see the benefits of all the late nights and long hours.
Lucky to have one of the top local drivers, Randy Johnson http://www.championraceway.com/2011/...%20johnson.jpg , behind the wheel to get feedback and, so I can watch the car react.
This is Randys first time footbrake racing and cut a .015 light.

Making several changes so we can run the car again next weekend.

I look forward to seeing it back at the track!
I will get up pics of what im going to frame out. Are you not 100% happy with vfn door fitment?
HEYFRED, your car is looking great!! Cant wait to see the race results.
Guys got 2 bars cut and notched, notched the 2 through firewall bars to fine tune the noch fitment in the strut top before more bends. Actually it is similar to what I now notice in your car fuel!!
Anyway catch ya.

Ok back to business, I have my molly for the door frame. Here is a few pics to show the plan, cut out the mr10 door glass yesterday........
Glass in place, and outline of were the frame will go inside.

An aluminium flat will screw to the glass through the middle, and through the top of the door and on either end there will be slip tube welded to plate and screwed to the top of the door.

Slip tube and plates screwed throught the bottom of the door at each end.

Dont mind the timber glass prop. LOL.
Then finally another piece of tube will lean back and bolt to the door face, to create the arc.

I hope you guys get the idea!
Catch ya.
Just a thought!
