Sounds like it may be time for a real clutch for both of you.
I would like to but I'm not gonna spend the money. I want a super lightweight setup but I don't know how it would react when I dump the clutch at the track. I do wanna try the device that you can vary the pedal movement do clutch slip that guy had in that other thread.

I like a light clutch. It's worth the investment. Easier on syncro's if you have then, no clutch sticking to the floor, no locking you outta gear. And in the end they become cost effective because you just buy the parts needed. I can put new plates and discs in my tilton for $400

I found no gains on the switch on my bolt on ls6. A h/c may find some power but i didn't.
With that said the 102 is the better intake by just the way it is designed.

I agree I would be better off with a nice light clutch, if I had experience with one I would know what to do. Car bogs hard off the line with the 2.66 first gear, wondering how the lightweight clutch would do just dumping it. Also considering a slipper clutch or even one of the 10000 rpm clutches. Just don't wanna buy something and it not workout for me. Don't wanna waste any money.
I've always wondered if the fast really made any over a ls6. Over the years it doesn't seem like I gained much if any over the ls6. Back then I was running Sunoco oxygenated fuel and it gave me extra power, and I've always ran 12.00 index when racing. Really hot weather and slow times because of it has kept me from really seeing any gains.
Hey Hio, Obviously there is a lot of controversy about your car, but damn its fast. I was comparing our times and our slips are damn close through the 1/8th and then you fly by. I'm surprised it didn't run like mid 10's with the 130mph?

You will like the light clutch. If it does bog it will recover much quicker too.
I changed out my ported ls6 to a ported fast 90 on the dyno and picked up 13whp. It was a sop difference too.

I need to get it working better in the front half.....the back half it working pretty good.
I'm running it on a dr and typically it's pulling down to about 3000 rpm on the launch according to my logs. If I can get it to not drop below 5k on the launch she'll make some et then. There has been some changes made over winter. I hope they work!
Up until the last 2 outings I have been on a 10bolt to. It would break a axle anytime I tried to get it to 60' better than a 1.70.

Hey Ya'll! Checking in. Any old timers still out there? I haven't done anything to my car in years... Thinking about bringing it back out. Also looks like I'm buying back my Black 02 SS stock internal car (in sig)
I would say I am young timer,l but you give me hope with a T-56. You also are another constant reminder i need a rearend cause these 2.4 60's aint working. Your car is badass and pushes me to save more weight. I pulled 120lbs out of it this weekend. It was a awesome helpful thread. Bring it back and get that 10 dude.
