i have no pics i havent done it, but iv been there and helped about 4 friends do it....you take your fender off and there is metal under it you start with a sawzaw and just go along the seam and cut it out....its 5lbs per side 10 lbs total...i cant belive you havent dont this yet ! (also what lightweight battary are you guys using and where can i find it)

LG Motorsports sells aluminum LCa's and PHB's. i had them on my firebird which was a 9second car with no problems. so yes, it is plenty strong enough.

I guess I will take off the plastic fenders and decide if I want to hack it up that much or if it can be hidden...

battery: got mine from modularturbo sponsor on here comes with a 1 yr warranty and if it doesn't start your car he will give an instant refund... 100 shipped iirc weighs 11.5lbs

Agreed... They should be more than enough for me, and they are actually lighter than stock, and its a good feeling knowing that I made them

I thought you were joking? You really haven't heard of cutting the inner fender metal??

No offense, your just up on all this stuff so I would assume you would know about that..

its COMPLETLY hidden, and its a very simple mod theres even a little hole already to start the saw....you will be the only one that knows its done, make sure you have a buddy with a pliers to pull it down as you go and cut right along the fender line...

front bumper support, front sway, traction and cruse control, carpet insulation, egr/air, rear bumper support, all the heat shields and a few other odds and ends im sure im forgetting...also a chromoly tubular k-member should be here any day and im ordering a lightweight battary

I am more on the performance side vs the hole cutting, plasma torch side of it...

I will check it out some stuff I am not willing to remove...

the only thiing im worried about taking out is my door bars and passanger airbag....i want to but id feel bad if anything happend to one of my passangers

I'm in the same position. At least until the cage and harnesses go in, then all that safety bullshit is coming out

be careful with alum. threads tend to strip.

same here, everything i have done is reversable....and by the way i contacted LG motorsports and they discontiunued the aluminum LCAs and PHB for the 4th gen because they started the 5th gen stuff...so you can no longer get them
