On your personal best as it is right now(the 12.18), what tire are running and what rpm are you leaving at? You dont have many more mods than me but are a second quicker! My times are from my only 2 runs ever, but I wouldnt know how to begin to nail the time you got. (im only 200-250lbs behind you as well).

It was on bald 245 nittos, and a quick clutch slip, maybe 2000rpms at the most..

It looks like you need an ls6 intake, ported TB, UD pulley, and a good ram-air.......

everyone knows its possible and i deffinetly belive you can do it ! its just going to take alot of work and even more money !!!....i think with that new rear end/gear/tire combo u will be runnin some nice 11 sec passes because u can acctually launch the car like you need too, then this winter strip some more weight out of it and see what she does !....

This I know I was just saying that you do have a few more mods and less weight, but your car just seems damn quick. Since those times were on my first ever 2 trips down the track, I know I'll get quick, and even more so with the mods. I went to a DA calculator and found my corrected time would be a 12.86 (added info in sig) so that made me feel a little better, not that I would claim that time. I'd be ecstatic with a 12.5 with the mods coming, like you mentioned, but I would **** myself if I got close to yours.

Just for reference, my friend has a mild H/C LT1, TH350, 3.90 gears, DRs and susp and he ran the just .05 faster than you. You are really bookin!

damn, your weight reduction must be doing a lot of good for you. I say get some bigger tire and a 2-step. my car is a pig compared to yours, and it takes me a 150hp shot just to get an 11.8 (on the stock rear, 2.0 60'). hopefully putting a cam in it in the next month, then the rear. We should meet up some time, me and some friends hit bradenton once and a while and maybe immokolee next friday

Your in the cape? I don't norally race in the summer, but watching is aways a great time.. I haven't seen your car around that I know of? Are you on SFFBA? 121 is good MPH, but the stock rear is killing you... that MPH is good for low 11's easy..

I dont drive it much anymore except once and a while on the weekends. It seems like the only time it comes out of the garage is when im going to the car wash, or the track, lol. I tried to get on ssfba a while back, but it wouldnt let me register, Im not sure why. And yeah, im deffinatley aching to get a MWC rear, but I dont have that kind of coin right now, hopefully in the next year or so.

Agreed! 4.56's with a 28" tire is going to give you the best chance of doing it.

Not necessarily, I've been launching at the limiter for almost 2 years now with no issues.

remember there is a reason why not many have done it before...it's going to take making everything perfect...I am doing that battle now going for 9s...
That sounds about right. Oh and with his goal, NO ONE has done it... yet

Even your car was on the limit, but imagine trapping 4-5 mph faster with that setup

I was shifting at only around 6100-6200 and let 4th eat...

Question with any SI engine turning these RPM's is going to be age. When I ran my best the car only had about 21000 miles on it.... at 60+K on the clock, how worn are the springs and pushrods gonna be?

Hey! Competitors aren't allowed in my thread..

I ran the calc by the way and I would need like a 30in tire to get through the traps at a reasonable rpm with 456s; 430's and a 28 is about perfect though..

True but even with a fresh motor you'd be testing it with that kind of rpm. That's my biggest concern right now with my motor rolling over 90k last year...
