you will need to cut the cowl about 9 in wide and about 1/4 in from the glass .take out the wiper motor and cut the cowl .small air saw is your best bet.

What the hell do you call Pro Stock? I guess they aren't "pro's" are they? I couldn't tell you how many cars at the LS Fest were carb'd.

I've read some stuff where veteran racers felt that carbs had better fuel atomization or something like that. Seems like a number of smart folks think that carbs are quicker for NA, would be interesting to see what someone like Robin Lawrence might say.

Also, the fact is, you dont even need an inercooler on a forced induction application with a carb. Unlike EFI. But, us carb guys are usually having a small dead spot where it goes slightly lean at lower revs, but we are tuning away to get them set up right, believe it or not, the LS engine does not like the carbs set up the way the old school SBC and BBC used to, i am a fine example of a carb tuner that has had SBC a long time, tuned away, went LS(LQ4) and strapped the carb on and expected my previous tune to work close, WRONG. I am still trying to get the bugs out, but it still drives OK, but the WOT stab has a bit of stumble, otherwise, everyone is looking at my tail lights with a HCI LS1.

More power across the board, but peak power usually is better with the old school controlled fuel leak.
