Actually get a deka 30l from battery mart. Same damn battery as the braille for about $100. It's a sealed agm battery to. They have a Deka 16L that will start the car for $72, but it may not have enough capacity for some.

bumping this thread back up....

I'm thinking about getting the Braille B14115 and was curious if anyone is using the same one? My car isn't a DD and I put about 1,500-2000 miles on a year. I have no HVAC, and deleted a few other accessories. Will I be ok with it? I have a battery tender that I can keep hooked up if need be.

I run the 11.5 lb battery. I keep it on trickle charge all the time and only get about 5 starts with it at the track. I carry a portable charger to help it from now on.

That's my only downfall, I don't want to be stranded somewhere if it doesn't have enough juice to crank over.

If I had to do it again, I'd take the 4lbs and get the bigger one

I've got the Braille 9.5 pounder. Mounted in the stock location. If I daily drive it then no problems. But if I leave it off my tender for s week and don't realize my little guy turned my map reading lights on then I get stuck at gander mountain.

Ive come up with a solution. We want to run these lightweights but don't want to be stranded so I purchased this: It's going to ride with me and cover my *** if the lightweight decides to not be up to the task.....weighs 18ozs AND will directly run laptops if you needed to do tuning and not worry about your laptop battery not making it through the tuning session.

I had one of those batteries before.. Can't leave nothing extra on.. No radio, no dome light, and head lights must be turned off before you turn the car off.. It will leave you stranded.. I put in a small Wal Mart battery for a 4cly Honda and it's been good ever since

Took a piece of flat aluminum bar from home depot and used the stock bolt location on the wheelwell side bent it up and over the battery then to the bolt on the radiator support.
