Skip the brailles and go right to lithium. The lithium will last longer then the braille and be lighter.

Which lithium should we be looking at? Aren't lithium batteries crazy expensive too?

Pretty big price jump there! Comparable size lithium's I've seen are 3-4x the cost of an agm. Granted you get an 8lb weight savings for that price increase, not sure it's worth it.

Then add the cost of the required charger.

I'll be running the shoai you have/had. I'll pick that up in the spring.

Cool senical. they work well. As good as it gets for a small battery from my experience.

I paid 330 for my shorai LFX 36A3.....it weighs 5lb. But like I said they outlast the braille so cost is not as much of a factor. The charger is like another 120 I think. But if you drive your car often then you won't need it for awhile. If it sets then just unhook the battery. The lithium can set much longer than the braille and still start the car and maintain charge.

For those concerned about costs stay away from the braille for sure. Look up the DEKA equivalent and that will save some bucks.

Hell if I pay $330 for a battery! I only paid $525 for my turbo! haha

I actually got the Braille cheaper through a vendor on sale then the Deka costs on amazon. Maybe the lithium's will come down in price after a couple years when the Braille dies.

I just bought this... http://www.jegs.com/i/Lithium-Pros/4...10002/-1...and a charger for my GTO. We will see how it works out. Hopefully it lasts longer than the last few heavy *** yellow tops I've used.

Im running the XS 680, the one under it, and lots of people run the odyssey the same size as mine with no issue. Should do great.

According to XS Power, the XP series battery isn't meant to handle under hood temps. They recommend the S or D series. If your battery isn't under the hood, I guess you'd be good.
