is there more of a advantage over a regular style drag shock.. Are these a necessity?

Plenty of people have run with regular stock style springs, but the coil over with teh ease of ride height adjustments, and available spring choies, do make them a good option.

Needed? No, there's a TON of cars that have gone in the 8 second zone without coil overs on the back, but it doesn't hurt to have them.

rear coil-overs are not needed. if you're looking to do ride height adjustments without going to a coil-over, you can use these:

We actually offer these in a kit with 10" 150lb springs for $210 plus shipping.

steve is that 10inch sprinf longer then stock.
one thing i dont like anymore with running stock coils, you cut to lower the car when you get it light. is how they un seat when you jack up the body in the back.

You need to put a set of rear "travel limiters" on. couple tabs on the rear and chain it up to the body so that way it won't hang low enough to do that.

I just have stock rear springs and airbags in them to adjust ride height.

JL-ws6 is right. These springs are not as long as stock springs, but you can do a rear limiter to keep the springs from un-seating, although they usually pop into place when you lower the car back down. We usually use pieces of a cloth strap such as an old ratchet strap. It's a little less noisy that way.

Old straps would work, good idea. Loop them around tha axle and put them on a bolt or tab
