Default How comfortable are drag racing seats?

I've never sat in any kind of aluminum racing seat. Wanting to drop some weight but I do drive my car on the street occasionally. Is this more of a drag racing only part? Do any of you guys actually drive a lot on the street with these? From the pics I've seen on here, they look pretty uncomfortable but wanted some opinions.

My friend has the alum kirkeys with cover in his camaro, they are not horrible for taking a ride, but wouldnt put them in my car. Too much of a sacrifice for a street car IMO. That being said, i love my corbeaus

The pro streets feel great IMO. Unlike the economy versions of Kirkey's aluminum seats they have quite a bit of padding in the bottom so it doesn't kill your back after only 10 minutes into a drive.

I like the molded plastic race seats from jegs for comfort... I never installed any in my car, but they do sit pretty desent... never set in a kirkey but they looks to be very uncomfortable.

i have the kirkey pro drag and i drive with it every day. it has the cover and i can't complain. the seat shape is much more comfortable then it looks. i've driven on trips close to 2 hours in it and only my legs get a little restless when i've been sitting for awhile. i just shift around and i'm good. getting in and out is probably the toughest thing cause you can't shift and step out but with the door bar in, its no issue.

I went from factory leather seats to Corbeau Forza IIs and my GF and I hated them because they were too upright and didn't have enough support. Then I swapped to Kirkey Pro Drags, black tweed covers, and Racecraft brackets and we absolutely love them. I basically dd my car in the summer with no problems and we've taken numerous 200 mile trips with them and the ol lady hasn't complained once. She actually gets mad when I take her seat out to go racing, go figure!!!

I found the Kirkey seats uncomfortable, plus you have to mount them really low and I don't like how my legs were almost horizontal with the floor.

I had a Jegs plastic seat with cover in the white Camaro, I'll get that seat again in the next race ride.

I'm kind of worried about not being able to recline the seat.... I'm 6'4" 300lbs... especially once I throw a cage in... gunna be kinda tuff for the fat guy to get in and out.

So far my Kirckey pro drags seem pretty comfortable. I added the lumbar pad, but I think it made it a little more uncomfortable for my back. I cruised around with a girl for over an hour and she had no complaints other than how loud the car was.

I have the kirky pro street drag seats in my car. They are the most comfortable race type seat I've found. I wouldn't want them in a daily driver but they are great for a street/strip weekend cruiser.
