Default Question about slp line-loc I put in today

Didn't have a bunch of time to play with it. I did activate it several times and know it's in according to instructions. It was either pushing the front wheels on pavement or not holding good enough. Had nobody around to watch. Should any dash lights come on when you set it? Just pump up brakes and activate right?

you have to be holding down on the brake pedal when you activate them, but yeah you just pump the brakes, hold the pedal down, activate the line lock, then foot off the brake

You push down and hold the brake. Push the button. Let off the pedal wile holding the button. Rear tires spin, fronts shouldn't.

No dash lights and no it shouldn't be pushing through. Sounds like you just need more pressure on the pedal when you flip the switch.

ive got small tires on the front of my car, and sometimes on warm concrete it will wanna push thru the LL. If that seems to be an issue, might have to use water like I have to..

They are very easy. Bending brake line is never fun but that is the worst part. If you get a kit spacificaly for your car then you don't have to bend and it is like brushing your teath in the morning.

The SLP kit is pre-bent. Running the stinking wires from inside up to it was toughest!

I have an SLP kit too and it is really easy install. They do advise to bleed the brakes and with a ABS car there is a special proceedure. With my car my bleeder screws are not coming loose so I lived with it but I did notice a difference in the pedal feel.

Mine is switch activated so flip it up. Push down and for added firmness I pump 2-3 more times and the pedal is rock hard. I do either a 1st gear 2nd depending on the mood, flip and allow it to roll out.

JL-WS6 and I were VERY careful NOT to loose any fluid and the air did work it's way out but if you have too much that could be the reason your pushing. Especially on the street where there is no prep.... well unless some guys just laid down a little PIMP JUICE.

it

No, it is not required. Some people either have eliminated in the rear end the ABS system and taking the block out is additional weight savings. In that case they made a custom setup to suit their needs.

You do not need to eliminate ABS to install a line lock.

Same thing happened to me last week when I tested mine. Dumped a little water on the ground and worked like a charm
