Default How fast will it be? 665 fwhp street/strip car.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum...where's the bench racer forum at?

Big changes this year, namely a 665 fwhp stroker was installed. It's backed by a Compushift controlled 4L80 with a T-brake and a Yank SS4000. It has a 9" Ford rear with 3.70 gears and MT ET 255/50R16 drag radials.

I haven't weighed it, but it's probably a little lighter than the average street car. The car is a stripper model, all it had for options was a rear defroster lol. AC, ABS, AIR, and the rear seats and seat belts have been removed.

I figure it should be good for mid to low 10s. Maybe with the t-brake, front anti-sway removed, skinnies up front, and better rear tires it might come close to a high 9 ???

What do you guys think? Am I dreaming? All I know is it's sure going to be a long Winter....

The dyno # wont be impressive. It'll be on a Mustang dyno and I can't lock the converter at WOT (I might add a switch so I can lock it).

It's a 427 in a sleeved LS2 block. A very similar set up did 575rwhp in a M6 Vette.

I would say mid 10's only because of the transmission. If you had a th350 with an 8" converter you'd be in the 9's depending on weight.
You can forget about the tbrake with those tires, I can tell you that right now.

Hoosier or MT ET drags is what that car is going to need.

My 28x10.5s have been a 1.32 60ft and usually around a 1.36 on a so-so track. Even these 28x10.5's on my car aren't dependable on hooking to my likings. Those 255/60's are gonna SUCK.

I cut a 1.30 60ft. with the Hoosier QTP DR. 335/35/17 on foot brake. The tranny is a 4L80 FMVB. but with a 4800 lockup Circle-D converter, To me, with the short gear and stall that you have and weight of the car, you may bog a little off the line. A taller gear or bigger stall will help alot.
